A Breath of Fresh Air: Huai Khok Mu

Seeking a respite from the city's clamor, a yearning for verdant landscapes, misty mornings, and cool, crisp air? Huai Khok Mu, nestled in the embrace of Ratchaburi, offers a sanctuary for weary souls.

Just a stone's throw away, this haven beckons with the promise of rejuvenation. For those seeking a culinary escape, the Border Patrol Police (BPP) canteen provides sustenance, albeit with a limited menu. However, packing your own provisions is highly recommended, ensuring you're not left with an empty stomach should supplies dwindle.

Unlike other destinations, Huai Khok Mu does not offer cabin accommodations. Embrace the spirit of adventure and pack your tent for an immersive experience amidst nature's embrace.

Upon arrival, you can choose your camping spot. First come, first served. Once you've set up camp, head to the viewpoint where you can take a picture with the sign commemorating your arrival at the edge of Siam. This is the viewpoint of Huai Khok Ma Doo.

The fog was quite thick on the day of my visit, but the air was very fresh. There were also not many people around.

This is our tent, the green one on the far right. We apologize for capturing other tents in the photo.

A Serene Morning at Huai Khok Mu

The night was pleasantly cool, and upon waking, the morning atmosphere at Huai Khok Mu was simply delightful. Sipping on a hot cup of Ovaltine, we watched the sun gradually emerge from behind the clouds, casting a warm glow on the landscape. The heavy fog from the previous night had left a delicate layer of dew on our tent, which we patiently waited for the sun to dry before packing away. This delay allowed us to further soak in the serene beauty of the surroundings.

The sunlight falls on the dewy grass and spider webs, and I want to keep looking at it for a long time. It's like a spell.

The weather is really good.

A short and easy walk will take you to the perfect spot to watch the sunrise and sunset.

The tent site is located on a hill. Vehicles are not allowed on the hill. However, if you prefer to camp below, you are welcome to do so.

The restaurant is owned by the Border Patrol Police (BPP). It is located on the right side of the picture. In the morning, they offer a menu of soft-boiled eggs, coffee, and Ovaltine.

We ascended the mountain in November 2015. The climb was challenging, requiring a skilled driver and careful navigation of the narrow, water-filled tracks. We recommend researching the route and anticipating potential rainfall before embarking on this adventure.

Ending with beautiful pictures. Thank you for following.^^
