With no specific reason in mind, I simply wanted to get out of the city. Coincidentally, I heard about the blooming Siamese Rosewood flowers in Lampang. This trip's concept is "Exploring Thai Culture with Style: A Foodie, Relaxing, and Healthy Getaway." Our destination is the blooming Siamese Rosewood at Ban Pa Ha Miang, Mueang Pan District, Lampang Province. It's a drivable distance, making it perfect for a 2-day, 1-night trip. We'll explore as much as we can, given the circumstances (again, haha).

The key highlight of this trip is the **blooming of the Siamese rosewood flowers at Ban Pa Hemiyong, accompanied by the melodious chirping of birds at the Lan Kiw Fin viewpoint in Jae Son National Park, Lampang Province.** This annual **Siamese Rosewood Flower Festival** coincides with the blooming season of the flowers, typically between February and March. For more information, please visit the **Ban Pa Hemiyong Community Facebook page.**

After arriving in Lampang in the morning, we switched to a friend's pickup truck and began our journey. Our first stop was **"Wat Phra Bat Pu Pha Daeng" or "Wat Chalermprakiet Phra Chom Klao Rachanusorn"**, located in Ban Tung Thong, Wiang Chai Subdistrict, Jae Hom District, within the Doi Phra Bat Wildlife Sanctuary. The highlight of this temple is the stunning view of numerous small white chedis perched atop a high mountain, offering a 360-degree panorama. Private vehicles are not permitted to access the temple; visitors must park at the designated lot and utilize local transportation services provided by villagers. A round-trip ticket costs 60 baht per person, or a private car can be hired for 600 baht. The car will take you to the starting point of the 1 km climb to the summit, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Remember to bring plenty of water.

Road conditions are improving.

The parking lot has a coffee shop. You can buy water here and take it with you.

The heartwarming image evokes a smile. It depicts a couple, seemingly in their twilight years, tenderly caring for one another. Their unwavering commitment to each other, even in the face of aging, is a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship. The accompanying text, "We will never abandon each other," reinforces the couple's unwavering devotion and serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing loved ones throughout life's journey.

Pathway conditions

If no one is there to cheer you on, just read the signs along the way. If you're tired, take a break. If you don't have a partner, you can read the signs to encourage yourself. ;)

Even bamboo trees are not spared, how much can people love each other?

We're almost there, just a little further.

Taking photos along the way, taking breaks to rest.

For the victor, conquering oneself is the greatest victory.

We have arrived at the top of the mountain next to the temple.

The upper area is divided into two sections. On the right side, visitors can ascend a short, steep staircase to pay respects to the Phra That. The climb is rewarded with stunning views of Jae Hom district and the opposite side of the temple.

This mountain peak is home to a revered footprint of the Buddha, a sacred site for the people of Jae Hom District for centuries. It offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views.

Left lane

The left side is called the prayer hall. On the pavilion, there is a Buddha statue for people to worship. At this point, you can see a small pagoda on the top of the mountain.

The right side of the stupa is visible.

On the mountaintop, a testament to the unwavering faith of the local community, stands a cluster of over 10 pagodas. These sacred structures, meticulously crafted over a decade through the combined efforts of monks and villagers, house revered relics and embody the profound devotion that lies at the heart of their creation.

>> Let's continue to Ban Pa Ha Mieng. Let's get there in time for the sunset.

Before reaching Ban Pa Hemiang.

Let's take a picture first.

An elderly gentleman serenaded the crowd with his guitar, while simultaneously selling strawberries. The ambiance was further enhanced by the romantic touch of dry ice emanating from a nearby bonfire.

Motorcycles are available for riding and taking pictures. Fortunately, there weren't many people around, so we had the place to ourselves. The owner of the motorcycle, the man in the green shirt, gave us a quick lesson on how to use it.

The car started and I was able to drive. It was so much fun!

Looking good.

Take turns being cool.

*** Wild Siamese rosewood is a flower with white, five-petaled flowers with a pink hue on the larger petal. It grows on mountains at an altitude of 1,000 meters or higher, with the highest concentration found in Ban Pa Hemiang.

Tonight, we will be staying at Aunt Dang's homestay, which has two bedrooms. The cost is 500 baht per person, including dinner and breakfast. If you are interested, please contact Aunt Dang at 0963540840.

The morning atmosphere in the village is pleasant. It is known as the "lung of Thailand" with cool and refreshing air all year round. Waking up early, you can take a walk around the village, observe the villagers' way of life, and go for a jog while being chased by barking dogs. ;)

In the morning, monks came to collect alms, and we bought offerings to put in their alms bowls.

A temple boy is following.

Simple and short methods and equipment

Light jogging for exercise

Indulge in a delightful coffee experience at a charming cafe with breathtaking views for just a few dollars. (The view from the balcony overlooks a stream flowing from the mountains in front. Imagine it yourself, as I didn't capture it in a photo due to my hunger pangs.)

After returning home for breakfast, I stopped by a local shop to buy some snacks on my way back. Some villagers also gave me some food to eat. When I come here, I have to live like the locals, right?

After packing up, we said goodbye to Aunt Dang and continued on to our next destination. The journey from Ban Pa Hemiang to the Kiw Fin viewpoint is approximately 6 kilometers. The road is narrow and steep, so please drive carefully.

The Khuean Pheen Pass is located on the border between Chiang Mai and Lamphang provinces.

**Doi Kew Fin**, standing at 1,517 meters above sea level, offers breathtaking views of four provinces: Lampang, Lamphun, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai, on clear days.

Out of boredom, they jumped.

Go all out!

Seek solitude.

The sky is white.

Better go home, the sky is not clear :)

From Doi Kiew Fahm, we headed to the hot springs at Jae Son National Park, a distance of approximately 20 kilometers.

Hot springs, with mineral-rich water reaching temperatures of 70-80 degrees Celsius, can cook eggs to perfection in just 17 minutes.

The cool stream from Jae Son Waterfall merges with the hot spring, creating a warm pool with a temperature perfect for soaking and bathing. This helps to relieve fatigue and improve blood circulation.

Bring eggs to soak

Immerse the egg in boiling water for approximately 17 minutes. The result will be a fully cooked yolk and a slightly runny white.

It's time to return to Bangkok. I don't really want to go back. I'm being lazy and don't want to drive back. Hehe.

Experience authentic Thai culture and immerse yourself in local communities. Discover traditional lifestyles, savor regional cuisine, and contribute to income distribution. May this trip inspire others to embark on their own unique Thai adventures.
