"Koh Chang"

The second largest island in Thailand after Phuket. Today, I will take you on a relaxing trip to Koh Chang, where you can rest your body and mind. Thank you in advance for joining us on this journey.

Let's start our trip!

Early Friday morning...

Many people... woke up early to prepare for work, but... I, a #travel enthusiast, took a vacation... secretly went on a trip 555+

The journey began at 3:30 AM with a wake-up call, followed by a quick shower and dressing. By 4:00 AM, we were on the road, driving our trusty Eco Car towards the ferry terminal. The four of us enjoyed a leisurely drive, arriving at the Koh Chang ferry pier around 9:00 AM. We purchased our tickets for 80 baht per person and 120 baht for the car, allowing us to take our vehicle onto the ferry.

However, the four of us discussed it and decided against driving to Koh Chang due to the steep roads and our small Eco car with a 1.2 cc engine. We are all quite large, so we decided to park our car overnight at the pier for 100 baht. The pier also has motorbike rentals available for 200-250 baht per day. Alternatively, we could take a shared taxi for 150 baht per person. However, 4 people x 150 baht = 600 baht, which is quite expensive.

The ferry from this pier takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon disembarking, you will find a motorbike rental shop directly in front of you. The shop offers a variety of motorbikes, including 110cc models for 200 baht per day and 125cc models for 250 baht per day. An additional 50 baht will be charged for every hour exceeding the rental period.

Expenses

  • Fuel: 780 THB
  • Ferry to Koh Chang (roundtrip for 4 people): 640 THB
  • Parking: 100 THB
  • Motorbike rental (2 bikes): 500 THB
  • Motorbike fuel (2 bikes): 100 THB
  • Accommodation (4 people): 2800 THB
  • Dinner: 1400 THB

The ferry terminal we used to cross the river is called Natural Bay Ferry. It is located in Lower Natural Bay and is often referred to by locals as "Natural Bay Ferry". If you look closely, you will see a large sign that says "Natural Bay". The ferry service charges 80 baht per person and 120 baht for a 4-wheel car.

The Advantage of this Pier: A Swift Crossing to Koh Chang

This pier boasts a significant advantage: its proximity to Koh Chang enables a remarkably swift crossing, taking approximately 30 minutes. This strategic location grants travelers a considerable advantage in terms of travel time. As evident in the image, Koh Chang is clearly visible from the pier.

Ready to embark? Let's board the ferry!

The ferry has departed from Koh Chang Ferry Pier. The journey from the pier to Koh Chang takes approximately 30 minutes.

I think this is a good option, as the waiting time for the ferry is only about 10-15 minutes.

Relax and enjoy the view from the boat.

Almost there.

Almost forgot... The ferry operates from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

We're here!! Let me take a picture. 555+

For those who do not have a private car and come to rent a motorbike on Koh Chang, I think it is very convenient. However, the driver may need to be a little more experienced, as some parts of the road on Koh Chang are steep. And don't forget to wear a helmet for safety every time.
Price 110 cc = 200 baht and 125 cc = 250 baht / per day. Excess hours 50 baht per hour.

Just a little bit, if you don't rent a motorbike, there are two rows of service. From the pier to the accommodation, the price per head is 150 baht, 4 people = 600 baht. So I would rather rent a motorbike. It's convenient, economical, and I can go anywhere I want. 555+

After a short break, we took a motorcycle ride in the afternoon to enjoy the scenery.

This is an aerial view of Klong Koi Beach.

After that, continue to Bang Baen Pier. For tourists who are on a one-day diving trip, you will need to board the boat at this point.

From my accommodation, it was very convenient, only about 3 km away and took less than 10 minutes.

After driving around various points, I checked the time at 17:00 and decided to take a dip at Kai Bae Beach.

We had a great time swimming and taking photos.^^

For dinner, we decided to go to our usual spot, the one we always go to. 555+ Phu Talay Restaurant.

This restaurant is located by the river, so you can relax and enjoy the breeze while eating delicious food.

A final stop before heading back, take a photo at the Kai Bae Viewpoint.

Goodbye, Koh Chang

I envy those who just arrived^^

I'm curious why so many birds were flying behind the boat as it returned to shore. Does anyone know?

Before reaching the shore, I'd like a hot cup of #Mama noodles, please.^^
