Where can you sit in one place all day and enjoy a 4-in-1 view? A view of the sea, mountains, river, and a beautiful sunset? I found it at "Baan Talay" on Koh Chang Island, Trat Province, Thailand.

I must admit that before I went, I didn't know anything about this place. I vaguely remembered that I had been to Koh Chang twice before, 10 years ago and again about 7 years ago.

The first time I went was with my old company, which was the first company I worked for. I still remember because I had only been working for 2 weeks when they took me on their annual trip. I was so lucky!

The second time I went was also with work, but I had changed companies by then. Both times I visited, I was impressed by the beauty and the fun I had.

Because I went with my friends and colleagues, even though I didn't know many people the first time, there were memorable events. There was a coincidence that allowed me to go kayaking with two girls, one of whom was cute and the other very beautiful.

Well, it was so much fun at the time! The two girls wanted to go kayaking, but they didn't know how.

So the staff asked for a volunteer, a man who could kayak.

What was I waiting for? I quickly raised my hand! (Actually, I had never kayaked before, but I was just being a show-off!)

But come on, why not? Let's try it. Plus, I get to go boating with two girls. I'll do anything at that moment! We'll deal with the details later. Let's just have some fun first! Plus, we'll get a chance to get to know these two girls.

That was my good memory of my first trip to Koh Chang.

The starting point of this trip was when a friend who likes to drink invited me to Koh Chang. (He's crazy about the sea!) He also told me that he wanted to stay at Baan Talay. Did I know about it? No, I didn't!

I thought it would be an ordinary beautiful place to stay, nothing special. I searched the internet and thought, "Oh, the house is beautiful. It's by the water. The atmosphere seems okay. Let's go." That's all. We just wanted to change our drinking spot.

You might ask, "Hey, you've been there twice before. Why go again?"

Every place is different every time you go. The stories that happen are different, the people you go with, the weather, the environment. This time I wanted to try to collect details about the place, to see how it is, how much it has changed.

Both times I visited, I stayed at the resort and didn't go anywhere. I only went diving and squid fishing. This time I wanted to explore Koh Chang a bit, to see what it has to offer, what interesting tourist attractions there are.

But in the end, I didn't go anywhere, just like before! I only managed to stop at two places before returning.

Because I stumbled upon the ultimate pleasure with the atmosphere of Baan Talay here. I never thought that Koh Chang would have such a chic and cool place, plus you get to see a variety of views in one place.

At that moment, I didn't need to go anywhere. Just sitting there, sipping beer, looking at the view, turning my head left and right, was so much fun. The atmosphere was amazing!

Come and see for yourself if there really is a place where you can see a 4-in-1 view like this. Is the atmosphere as good as I say? You'll see that you have to try it at least once. It's really beautiful.

"Koh Chang"

I don't need to say much about this place. Many of you probably know it and have been there. Let me skip to how to get to "Baan Talay".

Traveling to Koh Chang is incredibly convenient. It's easy to get there, especially if you have your own car. There's a ferry that crosses the river, and it's very affordable at only 240 baht.

If you don't have a car, you can take a bus to Trat Transportation Center and then a shared taxi to the pier. It only costs 50 baht per person.

The journey takes about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Ekkamai Transportation Center directly to the pier. There are two services per day.

Beautiful view at the pier.

There are ferries that can take your car across.

Ferry view from the harbor

The boat has ample seating and conveniently features shops onboard.

We have arrived at the pier on Koh Chang.

Upon arrival at Koh Chang, those with private vehicles can set their GPS to "Phu Talay Seafood, Koh Chang".

Baan Talay is conveniently located next to Phu Talay Seafood.

For those without private transportation, there are shared taxis ("songthaews") available upon arrival at the pier.

Alternatively, motorbike rentals are also available at the pier for added convenience.

Enjoy the scenic views at the pier.

Following the GPS, we drove on well-paved roads throughout the island.

The only exception was the road from the pier to Haad Sai Kaew, which involved a steep climb.

The road had sharp turns, curves, and significant inclines, requiring caution. However, it was not overly challenging and only lasted for a short distance of approximately 2-3 kilometers.

The rest of the roads were flat or had gentle slopes.

Continuing along the GPS route, we saw a sign for "Phu Talay Seafood" and turned into the alley.

After driving for about 500 meters, we arrived at our destination.

Drive about 500 meters and turn right. Drive another 10 meters and you will see Baan Talay on your left.

This is Baan Talay.

The entrance to the beach house is stylishly decorated.

Upon entering, one is greeted by breathtaking views.

The location is right on the waterfront, offering stunning views.

The interior design is chic and cool, perfect for photo-loving ladies.

Everywhere you look, it is beautiful, clean, and orderly.

The top floor also has a balcony, which is super relaxing. However, the day I went, the sun was a bit too hot, so it was better to sit downstairs.

The view from the second floor is breathtaking, offering a panoramic vista of the ocean.

There are 6 rooms available, 3 on the lower floor and 3 on the upper floor. You can choose any room as they do not offer any specific views. The main attractions are located in the center of the house.

Here are some photos of the interior of the bedrooms.

The house is beautifully decorated and very clean, but there is one problem.

The bathroom has a curtain on the outside. When you open it, you can see everything that is happening inside.

If you are staying with friends, you don't need to hide anything. You can just open the curtain and see for yourself.

The house is beautiful, so I will forgive this. But if you want to watch your partner take a shower, you can do it easily.

After choosing a room, let's take a look at the beautiful view of the sea house.

The first view is my favorite. It is right by the water and is very relaxing. The water is also a beautiful emerald green color.

The third view, looking to the right, offers a beautiful view of the sea.

Let's continue. After getting the perfect chill spot, you can grab a seat.
Personally, I love the view here. It's absolutely amazing.

We sat with our legs dangling, sipping beers, and chatting away in a relaxed atmosphere. The best part was that we had the entire resort to ourselves! It was just me and my friend, enjoying the peace and quiet.

We drank beer, listened to music, and soaked in the beautiful scenery. It was absolutely fantastic!

As we sat there, enjoying the view, we occasionally saw boats passing by, dropping off passengers at the beach. It was a lovely sight.

The view is amazing, with the sea on the right and the river and mountains on the left. It's so relaxing that you could just sit and watch it all day.

But the best part is watching the sunset.

We were originally planning to drive to the beach to watch the sunset, but it ended up setting right in front of us on the right side.

We were able to relax and watch the sunset over the sea from the resort, so we didn't have to go anywhere.

Let's take a look at the sunset here and see how beautiful it is.

The sun is starting to set, and people are starting to come out to play on the boards. It's a beautiful view.

As the evening sets in, the light becomes more beautiful, and the view becomes even more stunning.

A photo with my best friend, we've been having fun since the afternoon. The view is amazing, it's so cool.

The view to the left is also beautiful, no joke.

The last light of the day is so beautiful. I never thought I would see such a beautiful sunset view.

This is the saying, "No expectations, no disappointments."

Every journey always has something to surprise us. This time, it was the same for me. Before coming, I never thought that I would encounter such a variety of beautiful views. Plus, getting to see the beautiful sunset like this is amazing.

It's more than worth it to decide to come here. Plus, the price is easy on the wallet, only 1,300 baht per night, or just 650 baht per person. Wow... my goodness.

This is what they say, a place to stay for hundreds, a view for millions. For this place, "Baan Talay," it's perfect.

After watching the beautiful and magnificent sunset, we continued to drink. As for food, it's convenient because we're right next to the Phu Talay Seafood restaurant. If you want to eat something, just walk over and order it. 55+

They'll bring it to us where we're sitting and chilling. We don't have to move anywhere, except when the beer runs out. 55+

Because the shop only sells bottled beer. My friend and I like canned beer, chilled with ice. It's so good. Hehe.

Let's take a look at the atmosphere of Baan Talay at night. It's still beautiful and enjoyable.

The place was completely empty when I visited, so I had the entire space to myself. It was incredibly private and relaxing. I had a great time!

That night, we drank 24 cans of beer and 3 small bottles between the two of us. 55+

Don't worry about running out of beer, there are convenience stores, 7-Eleven, Makro, Lotus, and Big C, all within easy reach. 55+

However, it's best to buy before midnight, as many shops close after that time. The only options left will be small bars,

which tend to be more expensive than regular stores.

After a night of heavy drinking and enjoying the great atmosphere,

our plan for the day was to go kayaking, walk along the beach,

and visit Klong Plu Waterfall and the mangrove forest in Ban Na Nai.

However, we ended up waking up at noon. 55+

By the time we woke up and got dressed, it was almost noon, so our original plan was out the window. 55+

We had overdone it a bit the night before and couldn't get up. But that's okay, we'll go as far as we can.

There's always room for improvisation when traveling. If you plan too much, you might miss out on the fun. So, we decided to change our plans and just visit Klong Plu Waterfall and Laem Chaiyachet.

Our two goals for the day, which were not far from our accommodation.

Our first stop is Khlong Phlu Waterfall, which is located near our accommodation. Just a short drive away, turn right after leaving the accommodation and continue straight. Look for the Khlong Phlu Waterfall sign on the left and turn left. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach the park entrance, where the entrance fee is 40 baht per person. From there, it's a 500-meter walk to the waterfall. The trail follows the riverbank.

Continue walking. Take a break when you're tired. The path is not steep and easy to walk.

Also, bring your own drinks. There are no shops inside the waterfall.

Beautiful views along the way

Feeling tired, I stopped walking and soaked my feet in the water. There were many fish here.

After walking approximately 300 meters, you will reach the viewpoint.

We are almost there. Just walk another 200 meters and we will reach Khlong Plu Waterfall.

And here we are, "Khlong Plu Waterfall".

Wow... This page has a lot of water, quite a lot. It's pretty good too.

A closer look reveals the magnificence of Khlong Phlu Waterfall.

And even better,

a foreigner came up to take a picture with the bra straps of her swimsuit untied. Now that's what I'm talking about! 55+

Just wait for them to finish taking the photos first. Where are you in such a hurry to go? 55+ Do whatever you feel comfortable with, I can wait. Hehe.

Your face is so serious! 55+

After taking photos to our heart's content, it was time to cool off in the refreshing water. 55+

The water is crystal clear and refreshingly cool.

We had a blast playing in the water, and after a while, we continued our journey. My companion wanted to visit Laem Chaiyachet.

Initially, we almost got lost, but luckily we stopped at a coffee shop to ask for directions. Otherwise, we would have definitely gotten lost.

Laem Chaiyachet is located within the Chaiyachet Resort.

To reach Laem Chaiyachet, you need to enter the resort itself.

Here are some photos of the atmosphere within the Chaiyachet Resort.

Once you reach this bridge, turn right and keep walking straight.

Take a moment to take some photos at the wooden bridge. The view is beautiful.

There are also a lot of big fish in this area because fishing is prohibited.

Proceed straight ahead until you reach the shrine of the grandparents. Walk past the shrine and follow the signs to the Laem Chaiyachet viewpoint.

The entrance to the viewpoint is on the right-hand side.

Upon entering, you will encounter a wooden bridge leading upwards.

And here is a beautiful view at Laem Chaiyachet.

This is another spot where people say the sunset is beautiful. I will have to come back and see it for myself next time. It looks nice.

Walking down a bit, the view from below is also beautiful.

After relaxing for a while, we continued our journey to the mangrove forest. On the way, we passed by the pier.

We asked about the last ferry to the mangrove forest and were told that it ran until 7 pm. We were relieved to hear this.

However, it was already around 4:30 pm and the sky was starting to get dark.

Since there was not much light left and the sky was overcast, we decided not to go to the mangrove forest as the photos would not turn out well.

We decided to return another time and explore the mangrove forest then.

Instead, we decided to head back for the day. We had only visited Klong Plu Waterfall and Laem Chaiyachet.

Even though we didn't see everything we planned, it was still a worthwhile trip. We were not expecting to find such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere.

We were also surprised by the stunning sunset we witnessed in front of our resort.

We enjoyed swimming in the refreshing waterfall and taking in the breathtaking views from Laem Chaiyachet.

Before coming here, we had no idea what to expect. This is the beauty of traveling; you never know what you will encounter.

We didn't have high expectations, so we weren't disappointed. This trip was truly amazing.

We will definitely be back, Koh Chang. Until next time!

Bye Bye
