The first overseas trip, a self-planned adventure following online reviews and unreliable GPS, resulted in constant detours. Yet, it was an unforgettable experience.
We flew with AirAsia for approximately 1.30 minutes. This trip to southern Vietnam lasted 3 days and 2 nights. We brought a million Vietnamese Dong (VND) with us. Our main destinations were Mui Ne, the closest desert to Thailand, and Da Lat, a small city in the mountains with a cool climate year-round.
This episode will showcase photos from Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat. We hope to inspire you to visit these beautiful places. Stay tuned for more!
South Vietnam, Vietnam, Backpack, Dalat, Ho Chi Minh City
This phrase uses several hashtags to describe a potential travel experience in Vietnam.
- South Vietnam: This could refer to the historical region of South Vietnam, which existed from 1954 to 1975. It could also simply refer to the southern part of the country.
- Vietnam: This is the official name of the country.
- Backpack: This suggests that the person is traveling with a backpack, which is a common way to travel in Vietnam.
- Dalat: This is a city in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, known for its beautiful scenery and cool climate.
- Ho Chi Minh City: This is the largest city in Vietnam, and a popular tourist destination.
It is unclear from the hashtags alone what the specific purpose of the trip is, but it is likely that the person is interested in exploring the country and its culture.
Fellow travelers on this shared journey
We have arrived at "Ho Chi Minh City," the city of Uncle Ho... the capital located in southern Vietnam.
A bustling city filled with motorcycles, honking horns, and no collisions. People and tourists can walk comfortably, but it's still a good idea to look both ways.
Our first meal in Vietnam was at a restaurant similar to the popular MK chain in Thailand. We chose our own vegetables, noodles, and meat, and the price was determined by weight.
We traveled to Da Lat city using The Sinh Tourist service. It was a 2-story sleeper bus. The actual sleeping berths are shown in the video. Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat is approximately 300 kilometers and takes 7-8 hours. We chose to travel at night so that we could arrive in Da Lat in the morning and continue our sightseeing.
As we journey through the winding mountain pass, the road ahead remains hidden from view. Yet, we can sense its presence as it snakes its way along the contours of the hills. Despite the speed limits in place, a tinge of apprehension lingers. However, the night sky above offers a breathtaking spectacle, adorned with a myriad of stars that are rarely visible in the bustling metropolis of Bangkok.
We have arrived in Da Lat, a city where the cold is truly palpable. Stepping out of the car, our lips trembled and the frigid air sent shivers down our spines. It's hard to believe we're not in Europe. Despite the cold, the city's motorbikes continue to buzz around us. We'll be exploring and spending the night here, where our accommodation lacks air conditioning or fans. The cool air will necessitate sleeping under blankets. Let's embark on our adventure!
At Xuan Huong Lake, you will see people fishing and running around. The air is very fresh. I love it!
This time, we didn't miss the opportunity to ride the cable car to see the city. I must admit that it was my first time riding a cable car, and I'm afraid of heights. Our destination was a temple where we would pay our respects.
And we checked into our accommodation.
We will explore other atmospheres and meet again in the review of Mui Ne, a city that is completely different from Da Lat. Please stay tuned.
