Escape the City and Fall in Love with Khao Yoi Cave, Phetchaburi

Hi everyone, I'm back again! You might see me "kicking up dust" more often, so please don't get tired of me just yet.

Today, I'm taking you to see some adorable monkeys at Khao Yoi Cave in Phetchaburi.

Location: Khao Yoi District, Phetchaburi Province
Open daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Entrance fee: Free
Directions: Take Rama 2 Road. When you reach the Wang Manao Interchange, turn left towards Phetchaburi Province. After approximately 12 kilometers, you will see the Khao Yoi intersection (with Khao Yoi on your left). Turn left and drive for about 1 kilometer. After passing Wat Khao Yoi, you will find the entrance to Khao Yoi Cave.

Khao Yoi Cave is located on the east side of Khao Yoi Mountain, near the Khao Yoi District Office, approximately at kilometer 136 on Highway 4, about 22 kilometers before Phetchaburi city. Inside the cave, there are many Buddha statues of various sizes and postures, with a reclining Buddha statue as the main Buddha image. The interior of the cave is similar to Khao Luang Cave and Wat Tham Khao Ban Dai It in Mueang Phetchaburi district. Inside the cave, there are other important things, such as the Buddha's footprint, which is enshrined in a beautiful pavilion in the middle of the cave behind the reclining Buddha statue. In the area of the Buddha's footprint, devotees have brought gold leaf to cover it until it looks like a golden Buddha's footprint, shining like a golden Buddha's footprint. In addition, devotees have brought gold-colored coins, such as one-baht coins or fifty-satang coins, to scatter as a form of Buddhist worship inside the footprint. The worshippers believe that the merit will bring wealth, prosperity, and money flowing in like the golden color of the Buddha's footprint. In addition, there are statues of King U Thong, a snake statue on the cave wall, and the Goddess of Mercy.

Khao Yoi Cave is a popular tourist destination for religious worship.
