Pliew Waterfall: Crystal clear, cool water… refreshing for the body and soul.

Looking for a place to relax on your day off? We recommend "Pliew Waterfall National Park, Chanthaburi Province."

This is another must-see tourist destination in Chanthaburi Province, perfect for a family getaway. Whether you want to soak in the water or just dip your feet in the cool, clear water, you can visit any time of year. The waterfall flows all year round and is surrounded by nature. You'll also be greeted by schools of fish (there are a lot of them!).

Regarding travel:

The journey is not difficult, located approximately 14 kilometers from Chanthaburi province. The road is paved throughout, and you can take the Bangkok-Trat route, turning left at the junction at kilometer 347. Drive to the Namtok Phlio National Park office for about 2 kilometers.

Parking

There are two parking options: a free parking lot at the park entrance, which requires a longer walk and is on a slightly uneven path, or a paid parking lot near the waterfall entrance for 40 baht (which I personally prefer).

Other Information:

  • Park entrance fee: Adults 40 baht, Children 20 baht
  • Pliew Waterfall is open to visitors year-round.

Ticket booth for those who park in the paid parking lot, just walk a short distance to reach it.

For those who don't want to walk, there is a shuttle service to the waterfall entrance for 10 baht per person. It takes 2 minutes to get there. 555+

The path to the waterfall will have a luggage storage point.

The restrooms are clean and well-maintained.

This area is characterized by high humidity and good air quality, as evidenced by the presence of moss growing almost everywhere.

Along the way to the waterfall, there are many spots where you can stop to take pictures.

We have arrived.

I just want to dip my feet in the cool, clear water.

Stone catfish, also known as simply catfish, are abundant in this area. This species is edible, as it feeds on plants and poisonous fig fruits, which accumulate toxins in its body.
