The Green Season has arrived.

And do not let it pass by without purpose.

I have visited Kanchanaburi many times. There are many tourist attractions, offering a wide variety of experiences. My friends can easily find reviews online.

I've only ever stayed in comfortable accommodations, but this time I want to try something different. I want to experience something I've never encountered before.

The "River Kwai Jungle Raft" is a floating accommodation on the River Kwai. However, it is important to note that electricity is not available 24 hours a day.

Intriguing option for those seeking a genuine nature retreat and relaxation.

Immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature, where lush forests and pristine waters intertwine. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and find solace in the embrace of the wilderness.

Get ready to experience it all...

This review will feature a large number of images to showcase the product from various angles.

This time, I am determined to visit Wat Tham Sua again to find my dream angle, having already captured the popular viewpoint.

You can find more photos of the popular spots I've already posted in this review.

Behold, we will take you to discover the hidden corners of Wat Tham Sua, the Tiger Cave Temple.

This angle is not difficult to find. Search for "Mina Cafe".

However, when we went, Mina Cafe had not yet been built. So we searched from the angle we saw on Wat Tham Sua and guessed randomly. We drove around until we found it.

Park your car by the roadside and walk through the rice fields. You will find a path like this.

We think it's a treasure trove for the locals. There are small streams flowing through it, and there are trees of all sizes.

Just walking through this spot, you can feel the coolness and freshness, even though the weather at that time was scorching hot. Hehe.

I want to sit there for a long time to breathe in the fresh air and fill my lungs with as much as I can.

However, we must continue on to our final destination.

As we walked back to the car, we took pictures from various angles to our heart's content. It truly left a lasting impression on us.

During the Green Season, the lush green rice fields are a must-see.

As you walk through the fields, the fragrant scent of rice fills the air.

Even on the way, if you are not in a hurry, you will be able to greet the dragonflies like this.

And what we see a lot along the way is the wildflowers by the rice fields. They're so cute.

After capturing the perfect shot at our dream location, Wat Tham Suea, we continued our journey.

At a Bangchak gas station along the way, we stumbled upon another iconic landmark of Kanchanaburi:

"Mallika City R.S. 124".

Isn't it cool? What do they have here? I'll have to review it next time if I have the chance to come here intentionally.

But one thing is for sure, we know we're the weirdos there, lol.

Because here, there are only people dressed in ancient Thai costumes walking around, it's quite stylish.

This time, I didn't really intend to come, so I could only take some pictures outside with my phone.

But I believe that inside that door, there must be something very interesting.

From Mallika City, we continued our journey to our final destination, the accommodation we chose for this trip.

"River Kwai Jungle Raft" is a floating resort on the banks of the pristine Kwai Noi River.

Peaceful and simple amidst the lush forest, etc.

Here, we will experience SLOW LIFE surrounded by pure nature.

Importantly, there is no electricity at this resort.

This is intentional, as the resort wants its guests to fully experience nature.

While it may seem inconvenient, everyone who comes here is satisfied with this way of life.

This is because it cannot be found anywhere else.

Welcome to Phutakian Pier.

From the main road entrance, you will need to drive a little further to reach Phutakian Pier. This will be the parking area (if you are driving yourself) and where you will board the boat to continue to the floating accommodation.

Passage to the pier

Upon arrival, please wait for the resort's boat to pick you up.

Boat service is available from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

To avoid additional transportation costs, please arrive within the designated time frame.

After 6:00 PM, you may need to arrange and pay for your own transportation to the resort.

We will travel by long-tail boat like this to the floating accommodation, which takes about 20 minutes.

A video showcasing the atmosphere during the boat ride to the floating accommodation.

The video features water buffaloes.

We have arrived at the floating accommodation.

Upon check-in, each room will receive a magic lamp (kerosene lamp), one per room,

to be used for lighting throughout your stay at the resort. This is because the resort does not use electricity.

In front of the room, there are hammocks for relaxing and a floating platform for jumping into the water.

Step outside and soak in the fresh air.

You might even encounter a light mist like this.

Each room also has a private balcony and a hammock.

Dinner is served under the warm glow of lanterns at dusk.

Not bad for a romantic.

The dinner (included in the package price) will consist of approximately 5 dishes with a moderate flavor profile.

A small selection of fruits will be served for dessert.

Guests are welcome to request additional servings if they are not satisfied.

The Mon dance performance will take place at around 8 pm after dinner.

The ticket price is 160 baht per person.

However, we did not wait to watch it, so we do not have any pictures to share.

Morning atmosphere at the raft

Breakfast here typically consists of eggs, ham, bread, coffee, milk, orange juice, and fruit.

Early in the morning, around 7:00-8:00 AM, the elephants will come to greet you behind the raft.

If you have any bananas or other fruits, please bring them to share with this adorable monkey.

After breakfast, we took a leisurely stroll through the Mon community on the hill behind our accommodation.

As this area is located in a humid tropical forest, the atmosphere along the path in the Mon community

will be a bit green and dense, but it is also shady and pleasant.

The area here is quite spacious. After walking for a while, I came across a small Mon house in the middle of a large forest.

They live a simple life, don't they? Look, the surroundings of the house are full of lush forests. Judging from the size of the trunks and various vines, the trees are quite large.

Found it, the local one. Hehe / At first, I was shy and didn't dare to get close.

Here, they grow their own vegetables and fruits for consumption and use in the resort's cuisine.

Including pineapples.

Intercropping bananas and pumpkins

As you continue walking, you will come across a Mon temple. Judging from the lion statues and Buddha images, it is evident that the temple is of Burmese-Mon style.

Exquisitely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and remarkably peaceful.

It also features a replica of the Phra That Intharawat temple.

After visiting the temple, we continued walking to see the Mon school.

A small, open-air wooden schoolhouse. It appears simple, but there are no students present as it is a holiday.

Let's learn the Mon language ^^

Near the Mon school, there is an elephant camp.

Elephants are available for riding around the community (contact the resort for service fees).

The atmosphere is amazing, riding an elephant through the forest.

In addition to the abundance of lush greenery, you'll encounter a variety of small creatures here.

Snails in particular are plentiful, so be careful not to step on them.

Colorful longyi in the style of the Mon people, available for purchase by tourists.

I don't remember the name of this flower, but the Mon people use it in their cooking.

The mushrooms look like coral.

On the way back, we stopped by the resort to say hello to the adorable Mon children.

This trip is definitely worth it if you are someone who loves nature and a refreshing atmosphere.

If you enjoy visiting local communities, you must come and experience this place. You will get everything you need in one place.

This trip concludes with the following expenses:

1. Accommodation + 2 meals (breakfast-dinner) 2,585 baht

2. Fuel costs 1,300 baht

Total 3,858 baht divided by 2 people, an average of 1,929 baht per person

** Accommodation bookings can be made through the River Kwai Jungle Raft website.
