Strawberry Daisy Mini Donuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a mini donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before inverting them onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. To make the glaze, whisk together the strawberry jam and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Dip the donuts into the glaze and let them set on the wire rack.

Tips:

  • For a more intense strawberry flavor, use fresh strawberries instead of jam.
  • You can also add a few drops of red food coloring to the glaze.
  • These donuts are best served fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
