Winter has arrived in Thailand, and the northern tourist season has finally begun.
I heard that it will be very cold in Thailand this year, so hurry up and pack your bags. You will regret it if you miss the cold weather.
We come to Chiang Mai very often, and this will be our third time this year.
This is like a farewell to the year. Our purpose this time is to visit **"Kew Mae Pan"**.
I heard that there are so many people that the line stretches out to the street.
It's been about 6 or 7 years since I last visited.
At that time, **"Kew Mae Pan"** was already known among tourists, but not as much as it is today.
Let's go and see if it will live up to my expectations this time.

We started our journey on December 11th, hoping that there would be fewer people than usual after the long holiday.
On the way, we enjoyed the view from the window.
Come to think of it, this is the first time we have ever flown to the north.
The view is different from what we usually see by the sea.

We arrived in Chiang Mai around noon and headed straight to our hotel.
The hotel, called "Brique Hotel," is a new establishment.
As the name suggests, the hotel's unique feature is the use of bricks, which are prominently displayed at the entrance.
The walls, ceilings, and lamps are adorned with Lanna-style colors and patterns.
The friendly and helpful staff are always ready to assist us with anything we need.
They are even willing to go the extra mile to find what we're looking for, no matter how obscure it may be.

Upon arriving at the hotel around noon, we were recommended by the staff to try the tea here.
Feeling hungry and tired from the journey, we readily agreed to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea.

We also had lunch here. We ordered 2-3 dishes to share.
But the size of this dish!!!!! It didn't fill us up at all (it was hugeeeeee).
We ordered spring rolls with vegetables, which is a famous dish here. The taste was amazing, I must say.
The other two dishes were chicken satay and tender steak. They were a side dish that filled us up!!!!

I forgot to mention that the restaurant here is called "Vento Bar."
It's located on the right side of the building, on the 2nd floor, with the most beautiful lake view in the hotel.
They offer both savory and sweet dishes, as well as coffee. At night, it also transforms into a bar.
Here are some photos of the atmosphere during the day.
Let's head over to the room now. For our first night, we've chosen the "Premier 2 Bedrooms Suite," which is approximately 47 square meters and includes two bedrooms and one bathroom. The interior is decorated in warm wood tones with soft orange lighting, creating a relaxing atmosphere. As a corner room, it offers stunning panoramic views of the lake.
The spacious bathroom features a bathtub for a relaxing soak. The interior is decorated in a modern style with white and black tones, accented by comfortable orange lighting. The bathroom is fully equipped with amenities for a convenient and enjoyable experience.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, larger than 6 feet, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. An open wardrobe and a safe provide ample storage for your belongings. The room offers panoramic views of the outdoors and the swimming pool.
The room is small, but it's very private. Imagine falling asleep with a beautiful view right outside your window.
The room itself isn't very big, with just a single bed and a wardrobe. But for some reason, we absolutely love it!

After a tiring day of travel, it's time to explore the pool.
The pool is located in the center of the hotel, surrounded by buildings.
The pool uses small tiles, alternating between blue and navy blue, for a perfect match.
There are small tents above for sunbathing and posing for photos to show off to friends.

The next morning, we planned to hike to Kew Mae Pan. The hotel was incredibly accommodating,
packing us a box set breakfast to enjoy on the mountain.
They truly went above and beyond to fulfill our requests.
We didn't take any pictures on the way up because we started early in the morning.
There was no light yet, and we were worried about crowds. We just focused on climbing.
A local guide from a nearby village led our group.
She was lovely, and we only paid 200 baht for the entire group. The guide received a 20 baht commission,
so we gave her an extra 100 baht as a tip for sharing her stories and insights along the way.

We arrived at the highlight of the place around 6:30 am.
We walked out of the forest with the sunrise.
We came up here before the big group came up, so there were fewer people. It was easy to take pictures.
The sea of fog welcomed us as expected.
It's been 6-7 years since I last visited, and I'm not disappointed this time.
We spent about 40 minutes at the viewpoint, where there were many people passing by.
I couldn't resist capturing some candid moments of the people who were posing for photos.
Apologies to anyone who might be in the photos, but everyone looked so adorable!

It's time to hit the road. The sun has risen.
The light begins to shine through the branches onto the ground, allowing us to capture images along the way.
The temperature we are walking in is around 4-7 degrees Celsius.
However, when we come out, the sun is likely to be out, so the temperature will rise slightly.
But it didn't get any warmer, so I walked and got cold, and I stopped to take pictures for a long time because I was tired.
Drive a little further up. We've never been here before.
It's the "Ang Ka Nature Study Trail", also known as the "Forest in the Mist".
The entrance is easy to find. Just park your car on the side of the road and the entrance is right next to the parking lot.
It's a very easy hike.

The interior features a wooden walkway covered in moss, creating a captivating jungle atmosphere.
The tranquil sounds of the forest and the chirping of birds fill the air.
We are walking through the forest. The air is very cold, even though the pictures show that the sun is shining.
Perhaps it is because the dense forest keeps the air cool all the time.
That's probably why it's nicknamed "The Misty Forest".

Behold the perfection of nature here.
It is so lush, why is it so green, why is it greener than everyone else 55555555555

After a day of adventure, why not treat yourself to a spa massage at the hotel?
The spa offers a wide variety of massage options, including Thai massage, body massage, shoulder massage, facial massage, and many more. The staff will ask you throughout the massage if you are comfortable and if the pressure is right. The atmosphere is so relaxing that you'll want to stay in the room forever!

We've made some minor changes to our accommodations today to create a variety of moods.
This room, known as "Premier Deluxe," is approximately 36 square meters in size.
It features a king-size bed that is significantly larger than 6 feet, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep.
The room includes a balcony with a view of the hotel's pool and the lake.
Additionally, there is a reading nook on the balcony that receives ample natural light.
The bathroom inside this room is decorated similarly to the first room. It is decorated in black and white tones and does not have a bathtub, but the equipment is still complete.

.
For dinner, we decided to eat at the hotel's restaurant.
We went all out with a five-course meal.
The dishes included New Zealand mussels baked with cheese,
fettuccine with meat sauce,
bacon-wrapped shrimp,
a mixed seafood salad,
and shrimp fried rice. It was a truly international feast.

Waking up to a cool and refreshing morning, I decided to try the hotel's breakfast before leaving.
The breakfast room is located on the first floor, by the lakeside next to the swimming pool.
There is a wide variety of food to choose from, including Western and Thai cuisine.
The highlight, however, is the "Coffee Print," which sounds like a Korean drama, doesn't it?
But it's actually a way to print any image you want onto your coffee, as shown in the picture.
This is the first time I've ever seen it, and it's quite unique. Plus, it's delicious!
I highly recommend trying it; you won't regret it.

Before returning to Bangkok, let's take a flight to see the scenery of the hotel.
But I can only say one thing, it's super cool.
It's time to go back. The cold weather we've been waiting for all year.
No matter how many times we've been here, Chiang Mai never disappoints.
Whether it's the tourist attractions, the people, the streets, the hotels, they all make us excited to see it every time.
If you're passing by, don't forget to stay here. You won't be disappointed.
