We took a van from Chiang Mai, an old and well-known company, to brave the many curves before we could finally experience the cold weather here.

After a satisfying meal, we had a reservation for elephant riding at Thom's Pai Elephant Camp. This experience offered a truly authentic elephant ride, unlike anything many people have encountered before. Riders sit directly on the elephant's back, without any seats, for a close and intimate experience.
The ride was both exhilarating and a little frightening, as the elephant leisurely munched on grass along the way. It was a unique and unforgettable experience, especially considering the affordable price of only 400 baht per person.
The Next Stop: Village Farm
The afternoon sun was beginning to set as we arrived at our next destination: Village Farm. This charming spot resembled a miniature zoo, housing a variety of adorable small animals and even some exotic species. The farm also boasted a diverse orchard, which we affectionately dubbed a "mixed garden" due to its delightful blend of various fruit trees.
