Mallika City R.S. 124: "A City of Culture and Lifestyle"

Mallika City is located at 168 Moo 5, Singha Subdistrict, Sai Yok District, Kanchanaburi Province 71150.

Mallika City is a historical park that recreates the way of life of the Siamese people in the Chao Phraya River basin during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). The Siamese way of life in the year 1887 (R.S. 124) underwent significant changes, the most notable of which was the abolition of slavery. This led to adjustments in lifestyle and daily routines, marking a departure from the era of slavery. These events are considered to be the fundamental roots of modern-day Thai people.

The main attractions of Mallika City are nine in total.

1. Saphan Han is a bridge that spans a canal, allowing people to cross and connect with each other.

2. The commercial district is an area for commercial activities.

3. The City View Tower, modeled after the Prison Tower, served as a watchtower to prevent prisoners from escaping.

4. Single-family houses are houses for ordinary people. The people who live in these houses are working-class people, such as farmers, rice farmers, and gardeners.

5. The house of a wealthy person is a house of a person with status. The residents are members of the ruling class who will have activities on the house, such as making banana leaves and making flowers.

6. Kitchen: The kitchen was responsible for preparing meals for the servants and slaves, using charcoal stoves for all cooking.

7. The guest house is used to receive guests from other towns and cities.

8. Floating houses are used for commercial purposes.

9. Jasmine Garden: A collection of various jasmine species.
