Escape to Pattaya for a delightful culinary experience, breathtaking views, and ultimate relaxation at P Plus Pattaya.
A desire to visit Pattaya arose, but the question remained: how to travel without spending a lot of money? The decision was made to travel simply, living life on one's own terms, with a focus on relaxation and chilling out.
To get to Pattaya, we decided to have my sister drive from Ratchaburi to pick us up in Bangkok. We then took the motorway, which took about 2 hours from Bangkok and cost 60 baht in tolls. (Please note that the motorway tolls will increase after Songkran 2561.)

We arrived in the afternoon and decided to check into our accommodation first. Our accommodation for this trip was the P Plus Hotel Pattaya, located in Central Pattaya on Soi Chalermprakiet 23.
Upon arrival, you can park your car in front of the building or in the underground parking lot on the right-hand side. Then, walk in to check in at the front desk, which is located in the building with the swimming pool.
The spacious living room is well-ventilated, ensuring a comfortable and refreshing atmosphere. The absence of overcrowding and humidity further enhances the pleasant ambiance. The designated smoking area is conveniently located behind the living room.
After receiving the key card and breakfast coupons, a staff member will escort you to your room. The hotel boasts 270 rooms spread across three buildings. All rooms are of the same type and offer ample living space. The balcony doors and windows are made of clear glass, allowing you to adjust the curtains to control the amount of natural light entering the room. This ensures a bright and airy atmosphere during the day, even without artificial lighting.
The king-size bed is very soft, the pillows and blankets are also very soft and comfortable to sleep on. The first thing that catches your eye is the pair of swans and roses, which are folded and rolled from gray towels.
The room is fully equipped with amenities, including drinking water, tea, coffee, coffee cups, a hot water kettle, a TV, and a refrigerator.
Upon entering the bathroom, you'll find a wet zone separated by a glass partition. It features a shower, water heater, soap, drinking glasses, a set of face towels, bath towels, and hair towels. A wall-mounted hairdryer and a compact sink with a hexagonal mirror complete the space. Overall, the bathroom offers a stylish and functional experience.
Next, we descended to the Blackjack Café, the hotel's restaurant, which is open from morning until night. We had almost forgotten that we hadn't eaten lunch yet, so we quickly opened the menu and ordered the Chef Salad and Grilled Chicken Salad to share. The flavors were excellent, and the plates were empty in no time.
ICE Frost Dessert Café
After a short break, we continued our journey to ICE Frost dessert café, Pattaya branch, located on Pattaya Sai 2 Road between Soi Pattaya Sai 2 and Soi Pattaya Sai 4. The café is approximately 2 kilometers from our accommodation and offers convenient parking along the street or in the alley next to the shop. The interior features white walls, floors, and furniture, with glass doors and walls on the exterior, creating an airy and bright atmosphere with natural light. The café can accommodate approximately 35-40 guests.
The main menu of this restaurant is "Bingsu", a true Korean style dessert with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. In addition, there are various types of toasts, cakes, and drinks to satisfy your cravings.
Mixed Fruit Toast A large, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside toast, very fragrant with butter. Served with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, fresh fruits such as mango and kiwi. Comes with a small jug of real honey. Very delicious.
Sakura Bingsu, a vibrant pink dessert, features a base of white milk-flavored ice shavings generously coated with pink powder. Atop this snowy landscape sits a dollop of white cream, resembling a miniature volcano. Delicate flower-shaped decorations, reminiscent of soft and fragrant "Alua" sweets, adorn the sides. Hidden within the bingsu lies a layer of pink jelly, adding a delightful textural contrast.
Mango Bingsu is a shaved ice dessert with a milky flavor, topped with ripe Nam Dok Mai mango flesh and vanilla ice cream. It offers a fragrant and sweet taste with a full mango flavor.
Blueberry Cheesecake: A generous slice of cheesecake with a smooth, non-cloying cream cheese filling. The blueberry sauce offers a delightful balance of sweetness and tartness, making it a treat that can be enjoyed without feeling heavy.
**Iced Milk Tea** is rich in flavor, fragrant, sweet, and creamy, very delicious, and very satisfying. I personally like to drink iced milk tea, and this menu item for this restaurant gets a full score from us.
Blue Citrus Lemonade is a sweet and sour drink made with lemon, citrus, and syrup. It is a refreshing and palate-cleansing beverage that complements sweet desserts.

Enjoying the View of Pattaya Bay
After indulging in a satisfying dessert, we headed to Khao Phra Tamnak to enjoy the panoramic view of Pattaya Bay. As the sun began to set, we drove along Pattaya South Road, turning onto Pattaya Road 3, and finally onto Phra Tamnak Road, which led us to the viewpoint. We parked our car along the shoulder of the one-way road, as there was no oncoming traffic. Alternatively, we could have parked at the top. From the car park, we walked to the viewpoint on the right-hand side. This vantage point offered a breathtaking view of Pattaya Bay, with various-sized boats scattered around Bali Hai Pier and within the bay. To the right, we could admire the cityscape of Pattaya, and in the distance, the rolling hills.
The next stop is the Monument of Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse, the "Father of the Royal Thai Navy." This area features a spacious plaza with seating, attracting a steady stream of tourists. From here, the right side offers a wider view of Pattaya Bay. During the hot season, visitors can admire the vibrant orange frangipani flowers blooming in full splendor.
After six o'clock, the sun gradually sets on the left side, the glare begins to diminish until you can look directly at the sun. If you have more time, you can walk down to the beach at South Pattaya Beach, which is not far from this point.

After descending, it was already dusk. We decided to take a walk along Pattaya Walking Street for a while. Having never been there before, we were curious to see what it had to offer. We parked our car at Wat Chaimongkol Temple, where the parking fee was 20 baht. The spacious lot could accommodate many vehicles, eliminating the need to circle for a spot. We enjoyed a hearty dinner at Blackjack Café, the hotel's restaurant. The meal included a variety of dishes, such as creamy tom yum soup, stir-fried vegetables, and sweet and spicy pork. We left feeling full and satisfied.
The next day
Breakfast is served early in the morning, and we encountered a Chinese tour group. If you are staying at the hotel and prefer a quieter and more relaxed breakfast experience, it is recommended to come down after 8 am. However, the dining room is spacious, so it does not feel crowded even with a large number of guests. The buffet breakfast is laid out on three tables and offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from.
After a long break, we continued our exploration at Plus Sport Club. The expansive gym was filled with dozens of exercise machines, catering to a variety of fitness preferences.
Upon entering further, you will find clearly separated male and female restrooms. Inside the restrooms, you will discover a sauna and a steam room.
Tourists can relax by the pool, where numerous sun loungers are available for sunbathing without having to go to the beach. The crystal-clear water in the pool is very clean.

Loaf Bakery & Café seamlessly blends Italian and Japanese influences, offering a delectable array of sweet and savory treats. With two locations across the city, this charming café invites you to indulge in a delightful culinary experience.
Our focus today is on the branch nestled within the Welcome Town project in Central Pattaya. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a welcoming sight: a white sign against a warm brown wooden wall, adorned with the café's cheerful logo—a smiling face that radiates warmth and hospitality.
Loaf Bakery & Café is a spacious establishment that can accommodate over 100 guests. The seating options include indoor sofas and wooden chairs, catering to both small groups of 2 or 4 and larger parties. Additionally, an open-air backyard area evokes the ambiance of a private garden.

Let's take a look at the sample menu that I had the opportunity to try. I can honestly say that "everything was delicious". The table was full of amazing dishes, as you can see: MED Salad, Spaghetti with Salted Egg Yolk Stir-Fried Squid, Pizza with Holy Basil and Fried Egg, Hokkaido Maple Toast, Purple Yam Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Matcha Cream Roll, Iced Lemon Tea, and Matcha Latte.
