The Royal Thai Navy has been entrusted by the ASEAN navies to host the International Fleet Review to commemorate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN's founding. This will be the first time the event is held in Asia, and Pattaya has been chosen as the venue for this momentous occasion. The event will take place from November 13-22, 2017, in Pattaya City, Chonburi Province, neighboring provinces, and the upper Gulf of Thailand. The event will be attended by naval commanders and representatives from 38 friendly countries, both within and outside ASEAN. A total of 40 warships will participate, including 26 from friendly navies and 14 from the Royal Thai Navy. The warships from friendly countries have begun to arrive and dock at the Chulachomklao Naval Base in Sattahip, Chonburi Province. This has led to a surge in tourism in Sattahip and Pattaya, especially in Pattaya City.

As of today, November 14, 2017, Pol. Lt. Col. Pinit Maneerat, spokesperson for Pattaya City, has revealed the city's readiness to improve its landscape in preparation for hosting the International Maritime Festival from November 13-22. He stated that the city is now 100% ready.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Anan Charoenchasri, Mayor of Pattaya City, and the executives have prepared all aspects to welcome the Prime Minister and guests from various countries for this important event. He has instructed relevant agencies to improve and decorate the landscape in all areas to create a beautiful scenery, including roads, sparkling lights at night, and the latest dancing fountain at Laem Bali Hai, with a variety of colorful lights that are beautiful and spectacular. Under the shady atmosphere, there are seats for relaxation and enjoying the sea view in the evening and at night. It is open to the public and tourists to watch 2 times a day from November 14-22. The morning session is open from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and the evening session is open from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This is to test the system and allow everyone to see the beauty of the dancing fountain at Laem Bali Hai, another important landmark of Pattaya City. Everyone is invited to join the selfie and check-in at various beautiful viewpoints in the event area. You can enjoy the full international maritime festival from today onwards. We would also like to ask the people of Pattaya and business operators in the Pattaya area to help create a good image as a host to welcome this important national event together. This will allow Pattaya City, Chonburi Province, to become a world-class tourist city in the eyes of the international community. You can follow the details and schedule or ask for more information at Pattaya Contact Center 1337, 24 hours a day.
