Hello everyone... Today I am going to take you to 31st floor of The Millennium Hilton Hotel on Charoen Nakhon Road, to visit the Three Sixty Rooftop Bar where you shouldn't miss this if you have free time on holiday in Bangkok, Thailand.
Three Sixty Rooftop Bar has 2 zones, which is Three Sixty Outdoor Lounge on 31st floor and Three Sixty Jazz Lounge on 32nd floor. Once you arrive to the Three Sixty Outdoor Lounge, you can choose your seat in two different sides. One side is a view of skyscrapers of the city, the another side is a view of old city. However, you can see clear view of Chaopraya River from both sides. This zone has 60 seats with different level, so everyone can see clear view of Bangkok city without obstacles. There is also a small bar for sipping fresh non-alcoholic drinks like mocktails up to strong alcoholic drinks till you get tipsy :-)
For snacks that can be replaced our main meal in this zone, I would like to recommend a Picnic Hamper (THB 1,800 nett), which is only served from Thursday to Saturday. The Picnic Hamper is a basket of some cute snacks, which is particularly suitable for couples since everything in the basket is served in pairs. But if you come alone, there will not be any problems. You can eat these snacks for your dinner.
In this set, we will start from:
1. Spreads: There is a menu of Guacamole & Nachos (avocado dips) served with corn chips, which is one my favourite menus.
2. Bread: Garlic Bread has been chosen for this set.
3. Salad: Lobster & Shrimp cocktail with vegetables, Salmon & Tuna Sashimi, Surimi, and California Maki.
4. On Short Crust: It's a dish of foie gras terrine with mushrooms, artichokes, Pachino, Mache and truffle essence
5. Chinese Take Out Box: A dish of deep-fried prawns & aioli (mayonnaise mixed with garlic). it smells so good and easy to eat. Actually, I didn't expect this dish to be such a delicious menu...Haha.
6. In Glass Jars: Rigatoni All Amatriciana .This dish is Rigatoni with All Amatriciana sauce (traditional Italian tomato sauce). It has light flavour of tomato sauce, which is different from other tomato sauces in other places.
7. Wrapped: A sandwich of sliced beefsteak. Served with stir-fried onion, Pommery Mustard sauce and sesame bun.
For drinks, starting with soft flavoured cocktails (THB 450++), to enjoy sipping the drinks with beautiful view. All three drinks are so refreshing, which are Citrus Mojito, Femme Fatale and Purple Niagara Fall.
In the evening, if you want to enhance your experience with drinks and soft lounge music, you can continue to Three Sixty Jazz Lounge on 32nd floor, which takes just a few steps up to the stairs. There is a Live Jazz Band everyday, so you don't have to be worried about the date to visit here. After you reach upstair, you can pick your seat wherever you want. You can sit down at any corner, relax and see beautiful view of the Chaopraya River and 360 degree of Bangkok city.
Sitting down in a tranquil corner, relaxing with jazz music and seeing the chaotic atmosphere outside from the hotel without thinking of anything else is really perfect for your free time after your working day, your weekend or even your holiday. Additionally, food menus at Three Sixty Jazz Lounge are light snacks.
Now, getting ready to order some food and drinks with cocktails and mocktails. First, starting with snacks.
Skewers of grilled marinated chicken with lemongrass (THB 450++)
Sun-Dried Marinated Pork Strip with Sesame (THB 450++) is a dish of deep-fried sun-dried pork.
Deep-Fried Rock Lobster Spring Roll with Mango Relish (THB 490++) is a dish of fried spring roll stuffed with flathead lobster meat. This menu has no dipping sauce like any other places since it has Mango Relish Sauce decorated around the plate.
Battered Fried Fish Finger (THB 450++) is a simple dish of fish & chips served with Tartar sauce. Each piece of fish was cut into small fish stick, so it's easy for us to eat by hand.
Crispy Soft-Shell Crab Salad, Wasabi Mayo & Tobiko Caviar (THB 450++): A dish of fried soft-shell crab salad with Wasabi-Mayonnaise sauce and Tobiko Caviar on top (Tobiko Caviar made from flying fish roe). In fact, Wasabi in this menu doesn't have very strong flavour. Instead, it's sweet and creamy from mayonnaise with light favour of Wasabi.
Golden Fried Calamari Rings, Aioli Mayo (THB 450++) is one of my favourite menus, which I usually order when I eat out.
Flow Cheese Room Selection (THB 990++). Selections of cheese served in a plate with fruits and bread. Well, I try everything in this menu. Some are very easy to eat but some are difficult since they are quite salty or strong smell. The best one is the cheese that mixed with real truffle, and not just truffle oil...It's actually really good.
For drinks, we start with
Isan Summer (THB 450 nett): This menu is created by a top international champion, Khun Yod or Mr. Lersak Jamkatsilp who got an inspiration from Thailand's northeastern (Isan) food, which is his hometown. He uses rum from Guatemala, which is fermented for 23 years and awarded by Platinum Medal from Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago, mixed with freshly squeezed mandarin juice, fresh passion fruit, Thai tea syrup to sweeten, and grilled kaffir lime leave to add aroma of Thainess. There is some roasted rice powder on half of the edge of the glass. If anyone doesn't like to sip the drink with roasted rice powder, you can choose to drink from another side of the glass. Personally, I have never drunk cocktail that has the taste of Thainess like this. It's so unique.
Khun Yod is slowly and carefully making a glass of Isan Summer.
Bohemian Bliss (THB 450++): It's a glass of Absinthe, which is high alcoholic beverage with green colour and herb flavour. Some brands of Absinthe have alcohol volume up to 90%, which is banned in some countries. Anyway, The Bohemian Bliss comes with Absinthe inside of a half green apple with burnt sugar around the edge. Served with apple juice in a tall glass. I have to sip the Absinthe slowly since it has such a high volume of alcohol.
Pink Sangria (THB 450++): A glass of rose wine with small cubes of fresh fruits. It looks fresh and colourful, which is mostly suitable for ladies :-)
Seduction of a Geisha (THB 450++), this cocktail is made from Cognac mixed with Sake (Japanese rice wine), green tea, fresh ginger and Shitake syrup. Served with sashimi or raw fish.
If you don't drink alcohol, there are also mocktail menus such as
Blue Sky (THB 270++), which is litchi juice mixed with soda water. It's quite refreshing and tastes so delicious.
Or it would be
Virgin Mojito (THB 270++). It's a glass of Mojito without alcohol.
Before going back home, I stop by the Outdoor Lounge for taking a walk. The cool wind during the night is blowing to my face....So fresh...I love this atmosphere so much.
