The trip was a month ago, but it's been difficult to find the motivation to write about it. 555
In the end, I managed to pull through because writing reviews on Pantip/Readme is like a personal notebook that we can share with everyone.
And most importantly, we can always pick it up and read it, and smile every time we think about the time we spent traveling to new places.
Let's get started. This trip has been a long time coming, as I purchased the plane tickets last year with the intention of seeing the cherry blossoms.
We were eager to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom, as it was high season and a matter of chance whether we would witness them at their peak.
Our journey commenced on March 28th, 2018, aboard a flight departing at 00:45 AM. We arrived at Narita Airport at 8:50 AM, marking the start of our morning.
On March 29th, 18th, upon arrival at the airport, we immediately purchased train tickets to reach our accommodation in the city. Our accommodation was located in the Ueno district, so we opted for the Skyliner train to Ueno Station.
We left our luggage at the Ueno Hotel, a newly opened establishment with relatively clean rooms. However, it was quite a walk from the train station, approximately 600 meters.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we had to leave our luggage at the reception as check-in time was not until 2 pm.
After leaving our luggage, our first destination was Ueno Park, as we were particularly interested in seeing the cherry blossoms. The park was conveniently located next to the train station, allowing us to walk there directly from our accommodation.
On the way to the garden, just seeing this, I'm already excited. Yay!
It's like a country bumpkin in the big city, haha.
We have arrived at the park. There are many tourists here.
Without hesitation, we started taking photos. Some people might think that the crowd would ruin the photos, but we believe that the presence of people adds to the fun. It allows us to capture the diverse emotions of the crowd. If you look at it with a positive attitude, it becomes enjoyable.
Many Japanese people enjoy picnicking and eating under the cherry blossom trees. It looks like a lot of fun, and I wish we had something similar in our country.
Despite the crowds, there are still many beautiful photo opportunities to be found.
Let's go see the cherry blossoms in the garden.
There are also brightly colored flowers.
After taking photos for a while, we started to feel sleepy, so we took a nap. When we woke up, we searched for more places to visit.
I saw a friend's post on Facebook with pictures of cherry blossoms at Meguro River Park, so I quickly looked up directions and headed there right away.
Our journey begins at Ueno Station, where we board the Hibiya Line (H17) and travel to Naka-Meguro Station.
H01
Upon arrival, it was evident that the scenery surpassed Ueno Park's beauty by a significant margin. The sakura trees were in full bloom, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
The area was crowded, but the riverside path was very long. Each bridge offered stunning photo opportunities.
However, I arrived late in the evening, so I only managed to get these photos.
However, people usually visit in the evening because of the decorations and illuminated lanterns.
It is highly recommended to visit this place during the day, as the scenery is truly breathtaking. Unfortunately, we arrived after dark and were unable to capture the beauty of the place with sunlight.
We agreed to meet again tomorrow, but in the end, we didn't. We had to go somewhere else.
This is likely a type of wine that contains sakura. The line of people waiting to buy it is incredibly long.
March 30, 2018 (Day 2)
Today, the first place I went was the Tsukiji fish market. 🍣🍣
Travel from Ueno (Hibiya Line)
H17 will be downgraded to H10.
This restaurant is located at the front of the market, and we have visited it twice. The owners are an elderly couple. We always eat here because it is close by, and we believe that all the restaurants in the market serve similar quality food, as they all use fresh ingredients.
After eating, I wandered around the market for a while, then looked for a place to go next.
Our next destination is Kitanomaru Park.
Based on recommendations from Facebook, I decided to embark on this trip. I found the travel itinerary on various Facebook travel pages, which provided detailed instructions on how to get there.
The journey begins at the Tsukiji Fish Market.
From H10 to kayabacho H12
Then continue on T11 to get off at kudashita T07.
Exit 2 and you'll find it right away 🌸🌸🌸
The view of the sakura and the river is beautiful here. There is also a spot for paddle boating. — At Kitanomaru Park
This photo was taken near the garden close to the spot where I took photos by the Kitanomaru Park river.
Many people are having picnics. I really like this kind of atmosphere.
Next, we will go to Shinjuku Park. Please note that an entrance fee is required.
Our journey began at Kitanomaru Park.

The cherry blossoms at Shinjuku Gyoen are incredibly abundant. You can walk around and take photos everywhere, and you'll be sure to get tired from all the walking.
The atmosphere here is fantastic, making it ideal for people of all ages. The cool air and beautiful flowers create a truly blissful experience.

We strolled through the park until it closed, then continued our walk through the Shinjuku district.
This must be endured, haha.

I came across this thing and couldn't resist buying it to eat back at the hotel. Right away.

The park is so vast that it's impossible to see everything in a single day. There are so many attractions and photo opportunities that it's hard to decide where to start. I wish I could clone myself! 555
The mermaid zone is very beautiful for taking pictures.

The popular Toy Story Zone was too crowded for us to play. We couldn't get a FastPass, and the wait was extremely long. We decided to skip it and come back another time.

Note:
Today is the last day of our trip, so we spent the whole day exploring Osaka.

And then I typed it all out. I'm so happy! 555
We then had to return home. On the way back, we flew with AirAsia X, flight XJ 611, departing at 11:55 PM and arriving at Don Mueang at 3:50 AM on April 5, 2018.
It is advisable to allow ample time for the return journey, as the check-in process can be lengthy, taking up to two hours.
I will visit again next year. I love Japan.
