One night with accommodation amidst mountains and streams surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere, sleep under the stars, and watch the sea of mist in the morning.
At "Ton Din Farmstay" Phang Nga, which is not far from Phuket, driving takes about 1 hour.
The drive from Phuket takes you along Phetkasem Road, Krasom, Thap Muang District. There are multiple entrances, whether you're coming from Phetkasem Road or Phang Nga Town. You can also set a pin on the map here: https://goo.gl/maps/rpAhyjokXiK2
Upon arrival, the area is still very natural. Both sides of the road are filled with economic trees, such as rubber plantations and fruit orchards, making it very green and natural. Upon entering the homestay accommodation, the first thing you will see is a vegetable plot, a fish pond, and a variety of flowering plants and ornamental trees.
Staying here also has a restaurant zone. You don't have to go out and get lost looking for a restaurant. The menu focuses on Southern-style home-cooked food. Many dishes, even as a Southerner myself, I've never had before. I got to try them here.
The opening image of the menu is sure to make you hungry. I apologize for that, but I have to say, it really is delicious.
"The first dish we tried was stir-fried fern shoots with shrimp paste, a dish the chef proudly announced was made with their own homemade shrimp paste. The aroma of the freshly stir-fried paste was enticing, and the flavor was surprisingly balanced. It wasn't overly salty, but rather had a pleasant sweetness from the shrimp paste and the fern shoots. The combination of flavors was truly harmonious."
The first new menu item is "Sour Soup with Lampheng Shoots," which features young shoots of Lampheng, a vegetable in the same family as water spinach, grown in moist areas. It is boiled with Garcinia cowa, which provides sourness and a fragrant aroma, and a small amount of tamarind. Adding a little Pla Chumphang fish will add a salty flavor from the fish.
The next menu item was "sour curry with climbing perch" with pickled bamboo shoots, which the owner told me they pickled themselves.
The final menu item is the "Spicy Salad with Assorted Vegetables", which is incredibly delicious and bursting with flavor.
After we had our fill, we went to see the room we had booked. The friendly staff gave us a tour of the rooms before letting us choose between a fan room or an air-conditioned room. Since we had booked a fan room, the staff probably thought we might change our minds and stay in an air-conditioned room. The accommodation offers air-conditioned rooms, fan rooms, and a new zone with rooms by the canal with shared bathrooms. The accommodation is built in a series of huts, decorated in a modern style that blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. I particularly liked the bathrooms, which are decorated in a natural style with stone floors and bamboo showerheads. The bathrooms are also equipped with towels, slippers, and toiletries.
The room opens to a large bed, perfect for a comfortable sleep.

If there are three guests, an extra bed can be added.
The bathroom is designed with a natural theme, featuring a bamboo showerhead. The water is refreshingly cool, but there is no hot water available.
Air-conditioned rooms, modern and blended with nature.
Upon exiting the room, you will find yourself in the rear zone of the accommodation, where the sound of flowing water is constantly audible. As you walk, you will encounter a relaxation area by the canal, complete with tables and hammocks suspended from trees. A swing hanging in the middle of the water offers a different ambiance. For those who wish to take a dip, inflatable rings are provided for a refreshing swim until dusk, free of charge.
A hammock amidst a bamboo grove.
A wooden swing tied to a tree in the middle of the water.
Sipping herbal drinks by the canal adds to the refreshing experience.
Explore the relaxation zone by the canal, both in the water and on the wooden swing, taking cool photos with the stream.
After taking a leisurely stroll and capturing some photos, it was time to descend and embark on a thrilling tubing adventure down the river. The cool evening air provided a refreshing contrast to the excitement of the activity.
At Ton Din Farmstay, there is also a sauna available. However, this time, we didn't have time to try the sauna, so we just had fun playing in the water. When we started to feel tired, we went back to our room to rest before going out to order dinner.
The night sky here is truly breathtaking, offering a clear view of the stars. The stars are magnificent.
We gathered at the pavilion to enjoy the cool evening breeze. It was a beautiful night with a bright moon, and surprisingly, there were no mosquitoes. We were initially concerned about the possibility of being bothered by insects, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that there were none to disturb our peaceful gathering.
In the morning, we will go up to see the sea of mist at Ton Din Viewpoint "Phu Ta Sith". The owner of the accommodation will take us up to see the sea of mist by pickup truck. Not far from the accommodation, we will take a car up to his garden and then walk up to the viewpoint. The path is steep and made of red laterite soil, so be careful when walking. From this point, you can see a view of overlapping mountains, with some rubber plantations and palm groves. In the distance, the owner told us that it is Phang Nga Bay.
This morning, I was lucky enough to see some sea fog, even though it wasn't 100% full, it was still beautiful.
Exhausted from the hike to see the sea of mist, we returned to our accommodation and stopped at the dining area. A breakfast spread awaited us, including rice porridge, tea, coffee, and toast. We ate our fill.
After finishing breakfast, we went back to shower and get dressed, waiting to go to the orchard to eat durian. Because here, there will be an orchard where you can buy it directly from the orchard. Pick it fresh. This is the durian season of Phang Nga, but!!! We came when the durian was almost gone. Today, we got a few durians at the end of the season of this durian orchard. We got Phuang Mani and Chanee that fell to the ground when we arrived at the orchard. You will explain about the orchard, but we are just looking for durian.
"Pung Man" has arrived! We weighed it at the accommodation and then ate it right there. The "Pung Man" has a beautiful golden yellow flesh.
"Gibbons" are no less impressive. Just three small 3-kilogram babies are enough to feed everyone to their satisfaction. With full bellies, it's time to head back home.
