Good late afternoon. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Today, I would like to review my trip to Japan, specifically to the Jogasaki Coast, which I visited last month, June 2018. This was a journey by bus from Ito City. If you're ready, let's embark on this travel adventure together.

The Journey Begins in Ito

Our journey commences in the charming city of Ito. For those arriving from other locations, Ito is easily accessible. Travelers from Tokyo can enjoy a convenient journey to this coastal gem. Upon arrival at Ito Station, head to the far right-hand side where you will find a counter dedicated to selling sightseeing bus tickets. This counter also provides timetables, making it a convenient starting point for exploring the city. Feel free to pick up a timetable at the counter to plan your itinerary.

Ito Station - Ito Railway Station

One-Day Izu Area Pass

Price:

  • Adults: 1,300 yen
  • Children: 650 yen

The interior of the bus is shown. We can present a 1 Day pass, which allows for unlimited travel throughout the day. However, it is only valid within the zones specified in the document.

After a scenic 45-minute to 1-hour bus ride, we arrived at the Jogasaki-guchi bus stop. From here, we will continue on foot. Don't worry about getting lost, as there are signs to guide you.

After a 10-minute walk from the bus stop, you will find a signpost.

What is the brief history of the Jogasaki Coast and how it came to be?

There are signs indicating points of interest within this area, including in the Ito City area. It's worth visiting every place!

As I walked, I enjoyed the beautiful flowers. They are not native to our country, and I don't know their names. If anyone knows, please leave a comment.

The view is quite pleasing to the eye.

An old wooden house, equally beautiful, is hidden away, but I can see it.

Restrooms are available from this point onwards, and it can also be considered a temporary resting area.

Let's look at the coastline from this point down.

There is a restaurant, but it seems I came on the wrong day.

Walk a little further past the restaurant and you will find a sign indicating the way forward.

Stop and admire the beautiful flowers. This purple one is particularly eye-catching.

Following the path, you will find signs directing you to the coastline and rocky outcrops. I chose to descend to capture the breathtaking scenery.

The cool breeze is very refreshing.

Let's continue to capture the atmosphere. It's so enjoyable to sit here.

The small cliff face is beautiful, even though it is not very steep, it still provides a nice atmosphere.

We continued our journey, nearing our destination.

Strolling along, enjoying the scenery, I would love to take a boat ride to soak in the atmosphere. However, my current balance is deeply in the red.

We have now reached the highlight of our trip, the Kadowakizaki Suspension Bridge. This impressive structure stretches 23 meters in length and towers 48 meters above the ground. On a clear day, you can enjoy stunning views of Oshima Island or take a boat trip along the Jogasaki coastline. The boat trip takes about half an hour, but unfortunately, I don't have enough time for that today. I need to save my money for the trip back to Tokyo.

From another angle, the sign is clearly visible, confirming that we are in the right place.

This month from the bridge.

This angle is visually striking.

Could you please provide some information about the bridge? Otherwise, it will seem like I haven't actually been here.

A photo on the middle of the bridge before saying goodbye.

After crossing the bridge, the lighthouse is clearly visible. Admission is free, so let's go up and enjoy the view.

A short walk further will reveal a stunning view on the other side.

I'd like to relax and enjoy the atmosphere for a while before heading back to Ito City.

Continuing on, we will reach the exit on the other side. The New York Lamp & Flower Museum is where we will catch the bus back to Ito City. No need to retrace our steps. However, I did not enter the museum due to time constraints. If anyone has been there, please share your experience.

The museum's entrance is flanked by a minimarket and an ice cream shop, offering a convenient spot for visitors to rest and wait for transportation while enjoying refreshments.

Bus stop 2. We will return to Ito City now.
