July 7-8, 2018, the destination of this trip is the heart of Umphang, Pha To Lo Su Waterfall, Umphang District, Tak Province.

Brave the water, brave the mud, brave the rain

This is our second time conquering this waterfall. We traveled with a group of 18 people.

Phang Nga is incredibly far away, with over a thousand curves to navigate. If you get carsick easily, just hearing the name might make you want to vomit! 5555

This time, none of our members experienced vomiting or seasickness. It wasn't as rough as people say. Young people can handle it.

Selling for a bit! We have a page called "Little Traveler" with both solo travel and hiking trips.

Video: Journey in Search of the Heart

Before visiting the Pertolah Losu market, it is advisable to contact a local guide in advance. Arriving without prior arrangements may result in delays. Alternatively, contacting the village headman is also an option. However, it is important to note that...

In the village, there is no mobile phone signal, so calls cannot be made. Most people use Line or Messenger to make calls because there is internet access.

This round, we had our younger sibling contact a group of five "luk khap" vendors to assist us. These vendors took excellent care of us, following us closely and collecting any items we dropped along the way. They were incredibly kind.

The journey from Umphang to the starting point of the trek at Kui Lae To village is quite long, approximately 70 kilometers. The road is mostly paved and in good condition, except for one section that is in poor condition. Here is an image of the route:

The pothole-ridden area was even worse than this, but I couldn't capture it in time.

In conclusion, during the rainy season, it is recommended to use a pickup truck for transportation. Cars and vans are not suitable for the conditions.

Alright, let's take a quick look at the route and then continue our journey.

For the convenience of our fellow travelers, we set up camp at Kham Sing Homestay.

Please call the homestay in advance so that they can prepare food for you. The phone number is 0818139742.

We had breakfast, ordered a rice wrap, and arranged our belongings here. On the day of our return, we will also use the shower and dining services here.

Initially, we planned to drive a van into the village. However, one of our vans had a low clearance, and we were concerned that it would not be able to handle the terrain. Therefore, we had to change our plans.

The group hired a car to take them to the village, arranged by Uncle Kham Sing that morning. The two-day, one-night round trip cost 2,500 baht.

In fact, you can ask the homestay to contact the street vendors for you. They are the same street vendors that we found ourselves, and the price is the same.

No additional charging. 2 days 1 night trip for 1,000 baht.

The Pertoh Lo Su Waterfall does not require a guide. The porters will guide you.

The campsite has running water from a nearby waterfall and a bathroom, making it a comfortable place to stay.

This round, we planned to allocate time perfectly because we were going to reach the mango target of 30,000. However, the plan went wrong. We left on time, but everything was very slow because of Friday night.

Heavy rain caused severe traffic congestion and flooding in Rangsit.

The journey to Umphang was longer than expected, and we arrived approximately 1.5 hours behind schedule. We reached Umphang at around 8:00 AM, had breakfast, and organized our belongings while waiting for our transportation.

We arrived at the registration point in Quy Le at almost noon. We had arranged to meet the young vendors at 10:30 a.m. 5555, I apologize for the delay. They must have been waiting for a long time.

We met the porter team and paid the 20 baht venue maintenance fee. We then packed our bags and started walking at 12:15 PM.

That's awesome!

A relaxing route with occasional light rain and some water crossings.

Cross the bamboo bridge

Hang in there, everyone. We'll get there soon.

The breathtaking view during the hike filled our hearts with joy. The mist playfully danced around the mountain peaks, rewarding our efforts with a spectacular sight.

We will walk through rice fields, peanut fields, and cornfields that have just begun to sprout. There are small seedlings, but we have been there once before, in October. During that time, the paths were beautiful, and the fields were lush and green, very refreshing.

Throughout the entire journey, both on the car and during the walk, we were constantly surrounded by mist. It was an incredible experience, and it alone made the trip worthwhile.

This is the path to happiness.

It didn't take long for us to reach Camp 1 around 2:15 PM. My friends asked if it was far and if the trail was difficult. Jack told them that when we arrived, we would feel like, "Wow, we're already here? That was fast!"

It's true, isn't it?

We set up camp together and took a break. It was raining, but not heavily. However, the sky was definitely overcast.

Today, it took a long time for everyone to arrive, and setting up camp took a lot of time. Yaw said that we wouldn't make it in time to climb to the top of Mango Peak. The plan to hike to the 30,000-meter mark was scrapped, just like last year. Haha.

To conquer the 30,000-meter peak, two nights are ideal.

Today, I only had time to play in the waterfall near the camp. The water was refreshingly cold. I relaxed at my leisure.

I had lunch earlier today.

Personal photographer

After finishing their meal, they went to take photos and play.

The next faucet is connected to the waterfall.

In the late afternoon, the siblings helped each other cook. This trip, we cooked from the beginning of the day. We were free. 5555

Two older sisters will do it themselves, okay?

The young porters cooked rice for us.

Eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat.

Dinner is served in the evening.

We dispersed to sleep. It was very quiet and dark here. We sat looking at each other. Hey, it's only just after 7pm. Don't go to sleep yet. Hehe.

Those who were tired took a break, while those who were still awake chatted. We went to bed around 8 pm, just as it started to rain, giving us a chance to test out our tents.

We will use K2 Summit to comfortably shelter from the rain and get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow, we will set out at 6:00 AM to search for the heart.

Day 2: Embarking on a Waterfall Adventure with Local Guides

Following an invigorating morning routine, we embarked on a journey towards the cascading beauty of the waterfall. Our path was guided by the expertise of local porters, whose intimate knowledge of the terrain ensured a smooth and enriching experience.

The trail is a mix of steep and flat sections, but it's not too challenging.

Across the stream, over the water.

And finally, we have arrived.

Magnificent, Spectacular, and Worth the Visit

This phrase expresses a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty and grandeur of something experienced. It suggests that the experience was not only visually stunning but also deeply impactful and memorable. The use of the word "คุ้มค่า" (worth the visit) emphasizes the value and satisfaction derived from the experience.

Photography is a bit difficult due to water droplets hitting the camera lens. It is recommended to bring a dry cloth to wipe the lens and camera.

After finding the heart, the art team took photos together and individually. They then went down to the camp, had breakfast, and packed their belongings.

We retraced our steps, wading through mud and water as before. The rain started again, and we waited for the rest of the group to arrive.

It's time to say goodbye to the street vendors.

We boarded the car and returned to Umphang. Upon arrival at Uncle Kham Sing's house, we showered and had dinner.

We arrived back in Bangkok safely at 3 am. This is the life we live.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey. Thank you for all the smiles and laughter.

This concludes Jack's review of the Pertoh Lo Su Waterfall. Stay tuned for more adventures!
