Hello.
This is my second trip to Singapore. There were six of us traveling together. We each bought a year-end promotion ticket from AirAsia for 3,500 baht. Even though we had been there before, we still got lost. We got lost while sightseeing, so we wanted to write a review to help our friends avoid getting lost.

Day four
After breakfast at the hotel, I took a taxi to the airport for my 2:40 PM flight.
The program is ready, let's go on a trip!
First day
We arrived at Don Mueang Airport as early as 9:00 AM, even though our flight was not scheduled to depart until 1:25 PM. We were concerned about traffic congestion, but in reality, the roads were clear.
Upon arrival at Changyi Airport, connect to the free Wi-Fi and wait for check-in. After collecting your luggage, head to the subway station.
After clearing immigration at Terminal 1, follow the signs for Skytrain to T2. Once you reach Terminal 2, follow the signs for Train to City and turn slightly to the right. You will see a long escalator; take it down. At the bottom, you will be forced to turn left and descend another escalator. This will lead you to the subway station.
Purchase EZ-Link cards in advance. The initial cost of the card is $12, which is divided into two parts: $7 for travel credit and $5 for the card itself. The map of the subway system is shown in the image below.
For information on routes, transfers, and fares, please visit this website: http://www.smrt.com.sg/Journey-with-Us/Trains/Train-Map-Line-and-Station-Information
After obtaining your EZ-Link card, board the train from Changi Airport station to Tanah Merah station. Look for the sign that reads:
To reach Joo Koon, take the MRT and change at Bugis Station (11). Change again at Little India Station (7) and get off at Farrer Park Station. Take Exit A and walk straight ahead, crossing the road at the Indian food stall. Continue walking and you will see the hotel. It is located opposite City Square Mall, at the end of the mall and on the corner of the street.
Initially, we planned to stay at a hotel in Chinatown. However, we were feeling saturated with exploring areas dominated by East Asian cultures and desired a change of pace. We opted for Little India instead. Ironically, we ended up staying at a Chinese hotel in Little India. Despite this, the hotel itself lacked any noticeable Chinese characteristics.
We booked a hotel through booking.com for around 2,700 baht per night. However, upon arrival, we realized that we had not carefully reviewed the booking.com terms and conditions. The price did not include taxes and a 10.7% service charge. As a result, the room cost approximately 2,900 baht per night. Had we known this price, we would have opted for a Hotel 81 or Fragrance instead.
The room was slightly worn and had a faint musty smell. During check-in, the staff provided a remote control for the air conditioner and TV. Upon check-out, these remotes needed to be returned. The hotel offered free Wi-Fi, but the password had to be obtained at the counter daily, with one password per user valid for one day. The signal was strong, but guests sharing a room had to share the password, and if a friend logged in with the same password, the first user would be disconnected.
The photos of the room are not available. For more information, please visit the hotel's website: http://www.taihoehotel.com/
After packing our belongings, it was time for dinner. We ate at the food court next to the hotel. There were three food stalls: a rice with curry stall, a chicken rice stall, and a drink stall. The chicken rice cost around 2.5 dollars per plate and tasted decent. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. Most of the customers were Indian, which is understandable given that we were in Little India.
The shop is located at the "No Parking" sign in the picture. The picture was taken from the hotel, looking back towards the white archway in the distance, which is the subway station.
Full and satisfied, we will continue to the subway to watch the Wonderful Show.
A spectacular show at Esplanade. Shows begin at 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM at the Promenade in front of Marina Bay Sands.
Travel directions: Take the Mrt.Bayfront exit D and walk into The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. You will easily notice a canal with gondola rides.
Take the escalator up two floors.
We arrived at 8:30 PM, after the 8:00 PM show had finished. We then walked around Marina Bay Sands and shopped at Louis Vuitton, waiting for the 9:30 PM show.
This show is about the lives of people at different ages. I personally liked it and went back to the hotel to sleep after watching the show.
Day Two
We set off at 8 am with the intention of finding something to eat in Chinatown. In fact, I wanted to go to Ya Kun Kaya Toast, but I didn't tell the group yet for fear of not being able to find the shop. We decided to just wing it and see what we could find.
Traveling to Mrt China town Exit A early in the morning, I found that the shops were not yet open. However, I came across a Thai restaurant that was preparing to open.
A Thai person approached us and asked for directions to Kun Pharmacy. They kindly took out a map and explained the way, mentioning that many Thai people ask for directions to the pharmacy.
For breakfast, we went to eat Kaya Toast at Ya Kun Kaya Toast, a famous shop in the Blue Room. From the MRT China Town Exit A, walk to Ya Kun Kaya Toast. Walk to the end of the alley and turn left when you see the Indian temple.
Walk to the end of the street and you will find China Square Mall. Cross the street and walk straight into the building. The shop will be located behind the building as shown in the picture below.
The meal we ordered was a set that included two slices of kaya toast, coffee, and a soft-boiled egg. The set cost $2.40, which is quite expensive considering it's the same price as a plate of chicken rice. The kaya toast was delicious, but the coffee was a bit bitter. If you prefer your coffee with milk, you might not enjoy it as much.
After that, we walked back to visit the temple. We passed by the Indian temple and decided to take a look. We happened to see them holding a wedding ceremony. I didn't take any pictures inside the temple because they charged a camera fee, so I decided not to take any pictures.
A short walk from the Wat Khaek, you will find the Wat Phra Kaew, a four-story temple. The third floor houses a replica of the Emerald Buddha, while the top floor features a garden and Tibetan prayer wheels.

In the alley next to Wat Phra Kaew, there are souvenir shops selling goods at affordable prices. You can enjoy shopping for souvenirs here.
Across from the temple is Maxwell Food Centre, which houses a legendary chicken rice stall. We did not visit the stall, so we do not have any photos.
We then walked back the way we came to the MRT Chinatown exit A, looking for exit D to get to the Poeple's Park mall to buy tickets to USS and Garden by the Bay at the Sea Wheel shop. On the way, we came across a perfume shop and my friend bought several bottles. She said it was cheap, but we don't know if it's genuine because we don't use perfume.

From Chinatown Exit D, walk to the Sea Wheel restaurant in People's Park Shopping Mall. Cross the road opposite Perennail Shopping Mall or walk a little further to the pedestrian bridge to reach the 3rd floor of People's Park Shopping Mall.
We obtained tickets to USS for $62 each and Garden by the Bay for $19 each. The store only accepted cash and did not accept credit cards. After purchasing the tickets, our travel companions complained of hunger, so we had lunch at the mall's basement food court, which offered dishes like chicken rice and char siu rice for around $3 per plate. The food was not as delicious as the food court next to the hotel. Using the restroom at this mall also required a fee. The mall's atmosphere was reminiscent of Imperial World Ladprao, with a slightly deserted feel.
In the afternoon, we went to USS.
Universal Studios Singapore: Travel Guide
MRT Harbour Front Exit E: Take the escalator to Level 3 of VivoCity mall.
Monorail to Sentosa Island: Purchase an Easy Link card and tap to pay the S$3.50 entrance fee. Board the monorail and alight at Waterfront Station.
Universal Studios: You have arrived at Universal Studios Singapore.
Translation:
For Uss, we won't review much, as information is readily available online. We spent time at Uss from 1 pm to almost 7 pm, choosing rides and shows with shorter queues. Due to long queues for most rides, we opted for:
- … (List the activities you participated in)
The movie was a 4D Shrek film that lasted approximately 5-10 minutes. When I received the 3D glasses, I was a bit suspicious as they seemed to be wet. After watching the movie, I understood why the glasses were wet. There was a slight water spray that gave a cool sensation.
The "Water World" show was a spectacular production, with each performer deserving high praise. The show's protagonist, in particular, impressed with her diving, climbing, shooting, and explosions. It was a truly magnificent performance.

The Egyptian roller coaster. The line wasn't long, so I decided to give it a try. When the staff told me to store my belongings in a locker, I didn't think much of it. I read the description of the roller coaster, which mentioned spinning, but I just assumed it meant the ride would take us on a scenic tour of ancient Egypt. Little did I know what I was getting myself into. My heart almost jumped out of my chest! If I had known, I would never have chosen a thrill ride. Even the Viking ride scares me. My legs were shaking after the ride, and I could barely stand. But I have to admit, it was fun.
The parade will be held at 6:00 PM.
If you have the energy and time, you can continue watching the fireworks at 8 pm.
After the parade, we went back to the food court in Vivo mall for dinner and continued shopping. My friend wanted to look at toys for her child at the
At the Toy r us store, I was able to take a picture with the Lego Merlion.
Translation:
After returning to the hotel for a short rest, we continued shopping at Mustafa Centre, which was located near our accommodation. However, we didn't end up buying anything.
The crowded market made it difficult to choose items, so I walked back to the hotel feeling frustrated. On the way, I stumbled upon a local convenience store where residents were shopping. The water was cheap, and the snacks were affordable. I bought a chocolate bar shaped like a…
Two boxes of Merlion ice cream, 3 coins each. When I came back to eat, the taste was terrible.
Day three.
We departed slightly later than planned today, at 9:00 AM. We enjoyed chicken rice at the food court in front of the hotel before heading to Gardens by the Bay.
Travel by MRT Bayfront exit B. Follow the signs and walk straight out of the station. Pass through the garden and you will find a golf cart service that will take you to Gardens by the Bay. The service costs $2 per person.
This is a large public park with both outdoor and indoor gardens. The outdoor garden is free to enter, but there is an entrance fee for the dome. Even though we arrived early, the sun was strong and we couldn't stand the outdoor sun. We bought tickets to the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest from Seawheel for $19. The golf cart stopped for us to get off at the dome.
Flower Dome: A Tourist's Perspective
The Flower Dome, an air-conditioned indoor garden showcasing a diverse array of flowers, undoubtedly offers a visually appealing experience. However, for someone accustomed to the natural abundance of flora in Chiang Mai, the Flower Dome may not justify its cost. The high entrance fee, coupled with the familiarity of the displayed flowers, could lead to a perception of underwhelming value.
The Cloud Forest will showcase rainforest plants, ferns, and orchids. Upon entering, you will encounter a waterfall with strong water spray, so be careful not to get your camera wet.
Personally, I wasn't impressed by either dome. Singapore is an island, and they have created gardens for their own people to enjoy. However, Thailand has an abundance of natural flowers and dense forests on its mountains. For budget-conscious tourists, I recommend visiting in the late afternoon, taking a stroll around the outdoor gardens, and watching the Supertree light show, which is quite beautiful.
After we finish here, let's go shopping at Orchard Road. Even though Gardens by the Bay is close to Merlion Park, the sun is so strong that I would rather go to the mall to find a cool place.
Translation:
We opted to shop at 313@Somerset, conveniently located right next to the MRT Somerset station. After exiting the station, we stumbled upon the mall. We decided to have lunch there and spent a considerable amount of time browsing through various restaurants before finally settling on MK Suki, a Thai restaurant chain. Interestingly, the MK restaurant in Singapore offered a similar taste to its Thai counterparts, and we were even served by Thai staff.
We walked through several malls but didn't buy anything, so we decided to go to the Anchorpoint outlet. It was a tiring detour.
While preparing the data, we found information about Anchorpoint Outlet, which is located at Queenstown Station Exit B. Walk back towards Redhill MRT Station. After about 3 minutes, you will reach a large intersection. Turn right and continue walking. You will pass Shell and Caltex gas stations. You will see Ikea on the opposite side of the street from Anchorpoint Mall.
We took a wrong turn and ended up walking in the opposite direction. We came to a large intersection and turned right, but the path was lined with apartment buildings. We had read that the mall was an outlet located beneath an apartment complex, so we were confident we were on the right track. After walking for almost 15 minutes, we still hadn't seen any sign of the mall, and the path was uphill. We began to suspect we were lost, but then an IKEA delivery truck passed by. We realized we were on the right track after all. Exhausted from the walk, we sat down at a bus stop and asked someone nearby for directions. They told us to take the bus, but we couldn't remember the route number. We rode for about five stops and asked if it was within walking distance. They said it was too far and we should stay on the bus. We waited for the next bus and counted five stops. When we got off the bus, we still couldn't find the mall, so we kept walking and asking for directions. It turned out we had gotten off two stops too early. When we finally found the mall, we were so relieved we could have cried. We were as exhausted as if we had run a marathon.

The department store has a wide variety of products. The reason I came here was because of Charles & Keith. The prices are slightly cheaper than in the city, and there are also some discontinued items. In the city, you'll find the latest models. For example, the model that my friend asked me to buy from Thailand is the same as the one I saw in the Thai shop. I wanted this model, but it's already discontinued in Singapore. However, you can still find these models in the outlet. The discounted items are usually discontinued models, but the new models are priced the same as in the city.
On the way back, there was still a problem because I had read that there was a free shuttle bus to the subway station, but when I asked the staff at the mall, they said there wasn't. So I asked someone at the bus stop how to get to the nearest subway station. They told me to take bus number 195 for three stops. When I got on the bus and got off, it was very close. I found the Shell gas station and the intersection. If I had walked this way from the beginning, I wouldn't have been so tired.
To reiterate, the correct travel method is as follows: Take the MRT to Queen Town Station, Exit B. Board bus route 195 and travel for 3 stops. Disembark at the IKEA store and cross the pedestrian bridge to reach the Anchorpoint outlet mall.
At 6 pm, we had to rush to Merlion Park before sunset, as the photographer did not want to take pictures at night.
Merlion Park: Take the MRT to Raffles Place Station, exit H. Walk along Battery Road, following the signs. If you're on the right track, it won't be far. If you've been walking for a while, you're probably lost. Cross the street and descend the stairs in front of you to reach Merlion Park.
By the time we arrived, the light had faded. The night view of Merlion is also beautiful in its own way.

After taking countless photos and feeling exhausted, we decided to take a taxi back to the hotel. Six of us split into two taxis, showing the hotel address from our booking confirmation to the drivers. The journey was short, and the taxi fare was reasonable at $14 per car. Upon arriving at the hotel, we rested for a while before heading to City Square Mall for some shopping. I wish I had known better; why did I bother going all the way there when the mall next to the hotel had everything we needed? We bought two pairs of Vincci shoes for around 700 baht each. While others were shopping at Charles & Keith, we opted for a pair of Malaysian-made shoes. Why follow the crowd?
The last day of the trip, we had breakfast at the hotel, which consisted of milk, bread, and porridge. We then took a taxi from the hotel to the airport, which cost $20. There wasn't much to do on the last day, so we just sat around at the airport using the free Wi-Fi while waiting for our flight at 2:40 PM. Before checking in, you can get the password for free Wi-Fi at the information counter by showing your passport. However, once you pass through immigration, you can find free Wi-Fi without needing a password.
