"Mon Kiang Dao"

"Stargazing at night, mist in the morning"

It's hard to believe that we're already approaching the end of the year. In just a few months, the rain will be gone and the cool breeze will return. So, where are you planning to go to breathe in the fresh air and feel the mist on your face this winter?

Today, we'll introduce you to a mountain peak located just 1.1 kilometers above Doi Samer Dao, a popular tourist destination.

This place is called "Mon Kiang Dao." The highlight of Mon Kiang Dao is the bamboo balcony that juts out from the mountainside, offering breathtaking panoramic views. On a clear day, this spot becomes a prime location for witnessing a sea of mist and a stunning sunrise. And since there are not many lights up here, the stars at night are incredibly clear and twinkling. "Stargazing at night, mist in the morning" - just the thought of it is enough to make you feel good.

In addition, there are also accommodations available here, including bamboo huts, dome houses, tents for rent, and even a campsite for those who want to bring their own tents. All of this for just a few hundred baht. However, the accommodation is only open from October to February each year.

How to get there:
- If you're driving yourself, just set your GPS to Mon Kiang Dao. It's only about 80 kilometers from Nan city.
- For public transportation, take the small bus from Nan Transportation Station on the Nan-Wiang Sa route and get off at Wiang Sa district. Then, take another small bus on the Wiang Sa-Na Noi route and get off at Na Noi district. However, from Na Noi, you might need to hitch a ride or hire a car to take you up the mountain. Alternatively, you can rent a motorbike and drive up from Na Noi, which is about 10 kilometers away. However, there might not be many motorbike rental shops, so if you don't want to take the risk, it's best to rent one from Nan city and drive yourself.

This winter, if you haven't decided where to go yet, you can try coming here. We guarantee that you will fall in love with this place just like we did. ^^
