Motorcycle Rental

The next morning, we decided to explore the forest. We woke up a little late, but our enthusiasm for the adventure outweighed our sleepiness. We got ready and headed out to rent motorbikes.

We will not waste money on tours. We will not be fooled by reviews on Pantip.com. The four of us decided to rent a motorbike for 50,000 kip each. Wow!!! The feeling of getting on the motorbike, the song of Phoo Pongsit came into my head. On the superhighway road... it was really good. We rented three of them.

First meal of the day

From yesterday's dining experience, we immediately realized that ordering Thai food was a mistake. Since we were tourists, we decided to try French cuisine, which is widely available in most restaurants. This seemed like the safest option to ensure a good taste. We ordered a sandwich with everything, a carbonara pasta, and these were just for me. The others ordered Thai food. As for the taste of the food we ordered today, well, I don't know how to say it. The only thing that was edible and tasted like something we normally eat was the sandwich. But whatever, we eat to live.

Although the food was not to our taste, we spent a considerable amount of time at the restaurant. It wasn't that we didn't want to leave, but the food was slow to arrive, so we had to stay longer. Haha, haha, haha. No matter, at least we got some beautiful photos to sell in our stock, both food and scenery.

Aimless Travel

After fueling ourselves with a hearty meal, it was time for some sightseeing. However, our exploration was rather aimless, simply following the tourist signs wherever they led us. This was further facilitated by the map provided by the motorbike rental shop, making our journey a breeze as we navigated according to its guidance.

Silver Cliff

After driving for a while according to the map, we came across a toll booth. Wow! We were so excited! 10,000 kip, easy! After driving for a while, we saw a sign that said Pha Ngeun, a tourist spot or something. The entrance was like driving into a rice field, going very deep. So deep that we had to stop and ask each other if we were lost.

Despite our initial confusion, we continued to follow the signs, eventually encountering a local resident guarding the entrance. We inquired about the direction to Pha Ngern, and to our surprise, were informed that we were already at the entrance. The unexpected revelation was followed by another shock: an entrance fee of 10,000 kip. While we had already paid an entrance fee earlier, we reluctantly paid again, eager to continue our exploration.

Upon entering, we were disoriented due to the lack of signage. There were no signs, no directions, and absolutely nothing to guide us. At the intersection, we encountered a confused foreigner who was unsure of which way to go. As soon as the foreigner saw us, he immediately asked us for directions. We thought to ourselves, "You've asked the right people." We had only been there once before, so how could we possibly know? Sigh. There were two岔路, and we chose to turn left because the path was clearer than the other. The foreigner followed us. We can only guess that the foreigner was hesitant to walk the path we chose, but seeing us walk, he decided to follow. We understand why the foreigner was hesitant to walk alone. This is a picture of the path we chose to take.

The path was riddled with small holes, resembling a tunnel. If we were alone, we wouldn't dare venture down this path. The entrance was eerie, and hardly anyone walked this way. In fact, it was practically deserted. Haha. Let's return to the foreigner. After following us for a while, he seemed increasingly confident that this was the correct path. He surged ahead, leaving us far behind. Ungrateful fellow, couldn't even wait for us. Speak – wid – me. Sigh.

Although the path we walked was rough and dangerous, when we reached the summit, we smiled at the high-altitude atmosphere, the panoramic view from that point, the beautiful scenery, and the cool breeze. We saw it with our own eyes, we felt it, and we went on to other places. Before we go to another place, here are the views we captured for you ^^

Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon, a popular tourist destination in Vang Vieng, is known for its stunning blue waters. However, visitors were surprised to find that they were charged an entrance fee of 10,000 kip, which they felt was excessive. Despite their frustration, they decided to go ahead and enjoy the refreshing waters of the lagoon.

Upon entering, we were greeted by a cacophony of voices and a sea of people. It was as if every inch of space was occupied, leaving us feeling overwhelmed. We decided to forgo the crowded waters and opted to find sustenance instead. With renewed energy, we set our sights on other destinations, mindful of the limited time we had. Blue Lagoon 1 was teeming with people, so we opted for Blue Lagoon 2, hoping for a less crowded experience. As we prepared to depart, the crowds thinned, but we had already made our decision to explore other attractions. We stood by and watched as Korean women took the plunge, their laughter and joy filling the air.

Although many of the images are blurry, you are still clear. Wow, wow, wow, haha, haha, haha.

Searching for the "Blue Lagoon" No. 2 - 3

Upon venturing out, we were determined to discover new and unexplored destinations. We felt a strong sense of responsibility to uncover hidden gems and share them with the world. Armed with a map, we embarked on our adventure, embracing the unknown with unwavering enthusiasm. Our chosen path reflected our adventurous spirit, leading us through uncharted territory.

The silence is deafening as we drive deeper into the countryside, or rather, the countryside within the countryside. The road may appear smooth in the pictures, offering a comfortable ride, but the reality is far from it. Our behinds have been subjected to a constant massage, leaving them numb and tingling. When will we arrive? When will we witness something beautiful? When will we discover a new travel destination?

There is none, there is none, there is absolutely none, my dear mother!

The group arrived at Blue Lagoon 2, but there was an entrance fee, and they were no longer in the mood to swim. They decided not to enter and instead took photos along the way. In front of them were rice fields, and behind them were mountains. They enjoyed the scenery as much as they could.

Let's go back to our accommodation.

Exhausted from the day's adventures, we decided to return to our accommodation. However, we opted for a more unconventional route. Consulting our map, we discovered a path that would allow us to circumvent the main road and arrive at our destination via a scenic detour. Determined to avoid the monotony of retracing our steps, we embarked on this alternative journey. Little did we know that our decision would lead us down a path no less arduous than the one we had just traversed. The road proved to be just as treacherous, if not more so, than the one we had come from. The relentless bumps and jolts sent shockwaves through our bodies, leaving us with a profound sense of discomfort. It was as if we were engaged in a bizarre form of vehicular self-flagellation, our buttocks serving as the unwilling recipients of this peculiar punishment. Despite the physical torment, we pressed on, driven by the allure of reaching our destination and the promise of a well-deserved rest. As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the landscape, we finally arrived at the gates of our accommodation. With weary bodies and aching spirits, we dismounted our steeds and bid them farewell. The experience served as a stark reminder that the path less traveled is not always the most comfortable or expedient. Yet, it is often the one that leads to the most profound discoveries and the most enduring memories.

Let's get a massage.

After a close call with time, we returned the car just in the nick of time. We then showered and freshened up, ready for a night out. We had dinner by the water, accompanied by music that wasn't exactly conducive to eating. But let's move on to the massage. There were many massage parlors, but we chose the one that looked the nicest and biggest. It cost 60,000 kip for an hour, and we opted for a Lao massage. The masseuse was wearing casual clothes, a football jersey. Well, that wasn't the worst of it. The beginning made our hearts skip a beat, but I won't go into details. Let's just say it ended there. I didn't take any pictures because I was so tired that I just left everything in the room and went out.

The end.

Despite the challenges we faced today, including exhaustion and disappointment, we had a lot of fun. We were rewarded with stunning views, and we conquered our own limitations by navigating through treacherous terrain with sharp rocks. Our journey was filled with beautiful sights, and the unique challenges we encountered made the experience even more memorable. We will smile when we recall this day, remembering the joy and accomplishment it brought us.
