The Prink Cafe & Hostel, Lampang
I have got chance to travel around the North for a couple of days, on my way back from Chaingmai I planed to leave earlier in the morning so I could stop by at Doi Inthanon National Park, drove down to Jom Laung Stupa and then stopped for blessing at Lampang Laung Pagoda and I wanted to find a nice budget accommodation for a night. I was looking for many places, kept searching for a while until I have got this place called "The Prink Ice cream Cafe & Hostel" just from looking some of the pictures and I could already decide where to sleep...
After praying at Lampang Luang pagoda I drive to Lampang down town, it takes me not long to find the hostel. it is not far from the watch tower. I start loving my hostel already from seeing it's building style "Fong Lhee", which built in 2434, passed many of generations, it is renovated many times from generation to generation keep it functional able until nowadays. From the past until now it is converted to restaurant, coffee shop, home made ice cream shop and lovely hostel as it is right today...
Entering from the entrance on the ground floor are many things to offer; home made ice cream, coffee, food, cake and beer, on this day has only one kind of cake, which is crepe cake and I try it, is very soft and delicious. more than this I try home made ice cream with many varieties of flavors such as sticky rice and longan, bitter Snowfi, milk, wasabi, cookie and cream, finally I end up with bitter which is dark chocolate (personally I don't like too sweet) I would like it even more bitter. I also try wasabi flavor, is a very good taste ice cream as well as not too strong but smooth and balance, giving fresh grated wasabi root on my tongue..
The accommodations are on 2nd and 3rd floor. The building is enlarged by connecting cement room attached on the side. the rooms are single bed, double bed, connected to balcony and not connected. The price is ranking between 500-800 Bath, I stay in a single bed room number 301 is on the third floor which is 500 Bath a night. The room is pretty clean, there are three set of towels and 3 bathrobes are provided. For in-room facilities generally are TV, air conditioner, refrigerator and wifi, just we have to share bathroom and toilet, there are 2 toilet on each floor quite convenience... in generally speaking, here is very lovely and nice decoration I love this place, as I have some backpack travel experiences with limited of budget so I have always stayed in such hostel, guest house or B&B, that is why I fall in love with this place..
The Pink is on walking street Gart Gong Gar, the Pink establishes other restaurant called "Chai Lai", which is around the area near by..
