1. Auntie Da's Noodles
Coordinates: Kham Lue Road, behind the Lord's Palace
As I mentioned before, the rice noodles in Phrae are different from the rice noodles with curry, northern Thai curry, and green curry that are commonly found in Bangkok. This is because they are clear rice noodles, similar to rice noodles served with soup.
The most important thing is that it's super cheap. I think each cup is only 20 baht.
Besides the delicious taste, the highlight of this shop is its location near Narirat Wittayalai School, the center of beautiful girls in Phrae. While eating the rice noodles, you will see young, beautiful girls stopping by to try Auntie Da's rice noodles. It makes the rice noodles even more delicious.

2. Khao Soi Che Lek
Coordinates: Nam Kiu Road
If you like Khanom Jeen, go to Aunt Da. If you like Khao Soi, come to Je Lek.
Khao Soi Jek Lek is a famous Khao Soi restaurant in Phrae, renowned alongside Pa Da's Khanom Jeen. Tourists often choose to dine at these two renowned restaurants in Phrae.
Around noon, it gets very crowded and you may have to stand in line for a table. But it's worth the wait. Once you taste Auntie Lek's Khao Soi, you'll forget all about the wait.

3. Yen Ta Fo Pratu Chai
Coordinates: Victory Monument
If you're looking for a casual dining experience with local fare in Phrae, where you can soak up the city life while enjoying streetside views, then head over to the area near the Victory Gate.
The signature dish here is the Yen Ta Fo noodle soup from Pratu Chai. 95% of Phrae residents have tried the Yen Ta Fo at this restaurant.
Personally, I don't like eating Yen Ta Fo, so I ordered Tom Yum noodles instead, which were delicious. It has the aroma of ancient noodle recipes, full of spices and a well-balanced taste. No wonder everyone agrees that you have to eat at this restaurant.

4. Shaved ice with coconut milk, mixed fruits
Coordinates: Victory Monument
After enjoying the delicious Yen Ta Fo noodles at Victory Monument, cleanse your palate with a sweet treat from Taeo Roongmitr.
The highlight of this shop is the sa-rim ice cream, which has soft, chewy, and delicious noodles. That day, I had two cups at once.
The other desserts look just as delicious. I guess I'll have to put my diet on hold for a day.

5. Milk bread with condensed milk, plum with fresh milk
Coordinates: Victory Monument
To end your delicious meal at Victory Monument, try the iced milk bread at Buay Milk Shop.
The highlight of this shop is the chill atmosphere by the roadside. There are always teenagers sitting around drinking milk and chatting.
Just imagine yourself sitting and enjoying a glass of milk during the cold season. Just thinking about it is already satisfying.

6. Northern Thai Cuisine at Krua Mai Muang
Coordinates: Nam Thong Road
The first 5 restaurants I recommend are mostly single-dish meals that are easy and quick to eat.
If you're looking to truly immerse yourself in the flavors of northern Thai cuisine, I recommend Krua Mai Muang near Nam Thong.
This restaurant is a single shophouse. From the outside, it looks like a small, unassuming karaoke bar in Yasothon. But once you taste the food, you'll be amazed by the delicious northern Thai cuisine. Every dish is tempting, even for picky eaters like me who don't eat vegetables or strange foods. After trying each dish, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, this is so good!"
If you like northern Thai food, local food, I recommend this restaurant.

7. Spicy Salmon Salad at Rom Mai Yai Restaurant
Coordinates: Phraya Phlan Road, near the three-way intersection with Big C.
Ruen Rom Mai Yai is a large-scale restaurant compared to the small town of Phrae. It has a pleasant atmosphere, a wide variety of menus, including northern and central Thai dishes. It has private karaoke rooms, tables on the roof, ample parking, live music, and is the most Bangkok-like of the 7 restaurants I've visited. It's perfect for family dinners, chilling with your partner, or having a gathering with friends.
The highlight of this restaurant is the Salmon Jeed-Jat, a dish that perfectly blends the flavors of Phrae and Tokyo. One bite and you'll be saying "Oishii!"
The most important thing is that the price is not expensive at all. Compared to a restaurant of this scale
That day, I went to eat with my girlfriend's friends. It was a gathering of about 10 girls from Phrae. Everyone ordered as if it was their last meal. They ordered all the signature dishes, alcohol, desserts, and fruits. The bill came out to 300 baht per person. Oh my god, it was so cheap! I'm sure if we ordered the same thing in Bangkok, it would cost at least 600 baht per person.
If you like a chill place with a good atmosphere and great music, I recommend this place. You'll definitely enjoy it.

Who has eaten at which restaurant, when, how? Please share your experience. Or if anyone knows of any other delicious restaurants in Phrae, please recommend them. I'll be sure to visit them all the next time I'm in Phrae.
Enjoy your meal, everyone.
