"Phu Thap Boek" is far away, isn't it? Is it difficult to drive? If I went back two years ago, I would have said that this place is very far away and very difficult to drive up to. But I still wanted to go. I had only seen it in reviews and wanted to know if it was as beautiful as in the pictures. In less than two years, I have been there five times, completing all three seasons. I went to see for myself how beautiful the sea of fog was. Although I didn't see a beautiful sea of fog on the four previous occasions, my efforts did not cease. I continued to travel to see what I had hoped for. And today I have found it. "The sea of fog, rainy season, Phu Thap Boek" A secret that has been kept for a long time. June 2015

Before going up to the top of Phu Thap Boek, let's stop by the first viewpoint, which is the Octagonal Pavilion Viewpoint. From this viewpoint, you can see the winding road in the shape of the number 3 that we drove up.
Highway 3
Looking to the right, you will see a long, winding mountain range.
Next, we stopped at the scenic viewpoint of Phu Phaeng Ma. This viewpoint is located within the "Phu Hin Rong Kla" National Park.
After driving through the toll booth for about 500 meters, you will see an entrance sign for the Phu Phaeng Ma Viewpoint on the left-hand side. However, you will need to park your car at the entrance as sedans are not allowed to drive up.
Then walk for about 400 meters to reach the viewpoint.
The weather that day was overcast with fog covering the entire route.
The walk in was incredibly refreshing, as the entire path was shrouded in mist.
At the viewpoint, if you look to the left, you will see the peak of Phu Thap Boek. And if you look to the right, you will be able to see the top of Pha That and Wat Pha Sorn Kaew. However, the weather was cloudy today, so I could only capture these images.
That evening, I decided to return to my accommodation instead of waiting for the sunset, as the sky was unlikely to clear up anytime soon.
Like every other time I've come to Phu Thap Boek, I woke up early this morning hoping to see the beautiful sea of mist that everyone else talks about.
I have no idea what tomorrow morning will bring, but I can only pray that it will rain tonight so that we can find what we are looking for tomorrow morning.
And then what I hoped for happened: the rain clouds have formed! My hope has arrived!
And that night, it really rained and the wind was very strong. Because of the strong wind, my hope disappeared because if the wind was strong, the fog would disperse completely and there would be no sea of fog to see. T___T
That morning, I set my alarm for 4:30 am so that I could be at the viewpoint by 5:00 am to start watching the changes before the sun rose.
However, due to the exhaustion from the previous day, I woke up late that morning. I woke up at 5:30 am. The first thing I did was open the window and quickly grab my camera.
Then quickly finish your personal business within 5 minutes (just wash your face and brush your teeth, lol)
Since my accommodation was not far from the viewpoint, I thought we would be in time for the sunrise. However, as we looked around, everything was so beautiful that we stopped to take pictures along the way.
In the end, I didn't make it to the viewpoint in time to catch the sunrise, so I took a picture from a nearby restaurant instead.
And then I arrived at the main viewpoint of Phu Thap Boek.
Upon reaching the top, you will be greeted by a multitude of tourists eagerly setting up their cameras to capture the moment.
Upon reaching the viewpoint, we were able to gaze upon a sea of mist while the sun was rising. It was a truly breathtaking sight, making our trip to Phu Thap Boek all the more worthwhile.
After being there for a while, it's better to go down and take pictures below.
As we walked down, we kept taking pictures of the sea of fog.
Along the way down, we can admire the sea of mist throughout the journey. And if we look to the left, we will see the pagoda of Wat Pa Phu Thap Boek, surrounded by a sea of mist, looking like an island.
We continue walking down and we will find another viewpoint, which is the viewpoint of Rim Pha Phu Thap Boek Resort.
This viewpoint makes us feel like we are closest to the sea of fog.
That morning was so blissful, everywhere I went I was met with a sea of fog.
And it was a day with a very clear sky, no clouds to obscure it at all.
As we continued taking pictures, we came across an enviable scene: the commute of people on that road, which was lined with cabbage fields and shrouded in mist.
And if we look up to the top of Phu Thap Berk, we will see the fog starting to spread and cover the entire area of Phu Thap Berk.

The newly constructed parking lot before the viewpoint is now equipped with a steel fence.
On the top of Phu Thap Berk, there is a kind of flower that looks quite strange, which is the paper flower.
This trip to Phu Thap Boek was the most memorable one I've ever had. I saw the sea of mist as I had hoped, and I enjoyed the fresh air that you can't find in Bangkok.
I will definitely go back to "Phu Thap Boek" again.
Before concluding this review, I would like to leave a message to my friends who are planning to visit the place. Please drive carefully and check your vehicle's condition before your trip.
Aside from the steep and winding roads, during the rainy season, fog often covers the entire route, reducing visibility for drivers.
Drive safely and have a wonderful time. See you in the next review!
