His Majesty's ascension to heaven, his noble deeds, remain invaluable.

Continuing his royal aspirations, weaving faith, following the philosophy of the Father of the Land.

Despite the arduous journey, no matter how far, you traveled to reach the problems of the villagers. This trip had the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the father at "Jetradar.co.th" and "Readme.me" organized. For this trip, we chose to go to the Royal Agricultural Development Station, Bansajok-Sakeng, which is in the same area as the Pidthong Foundation Project, Following the Royal Initiative in Chalermprakiet District and Doi Suan Ya Luang, Tha Wang Pha District, Nan Province.

Despite the arduous journey and the distance we traveled, it pales in comparison to the tireless efforts of our beloved King. His dedication to development and aid is evident in the 38 Royal Projects he established, including research stations, agricultural stations, and development centers. These projects empower Thai people to build sustainable livelihoods, embrace self-sufficiency, and inspire them to contribute to the greater good.

As a child, I listened to legends

Tales of angels on earth

They had no giant bodies, no wings to fly

But they created this land called Thailand

Gave us enough to eat, trees on the ground

Let the water flow down to bathe the land

Let the rain fall from the sky, refreshing our hearts until it flows

Out of our eyes with the emotion of the Thai people

Song: To be a servant at your feet in every life

Our weekend trip was packed with activities, despite the long travel time. We flew to Nan Airport, thanks to the support of Jetradar, a flight search and booking app. Our friend from Lampang met us at the airport and joined us on the journey. We took Highway 101, passing through Thoeng and Pua districts. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant in front of Pua Stadium, where we had previously enjoyed a delicious meal of papaya salad and grilled chicken. The owner even recognized us from our previous visit, when we had devoured all the grilled chicken.

After a satisfying meal, we continued our journey along Highway 1256, passing through Doi Phu Kha National Park and entering Bo Kluea District. Along the way, we stopped at the 1715 viewpoint, which offers stunning views from an altitude of 1715 meters above sea level.

Follow Highway 1081 for approximately 30 kilometers after passing the Bo Kluea District. The road conditions are generally good, with some rough patches. Enjoy the scenic views and consider stopping along the way to rest.

After about an hour, we arrived at the Khun Nan Nan Village. Turn right at the three-way intersection, where there will be a sign for the Highland Agricultural Development Station Project, following the Royal Initiative, Ban Sajuk-Sakeaeng, for another 4 kilometers. The road may be rough, with some potholes and steep sections, so drive carefully. We arrived just in time to capture the sunset.

We didn't book any accommodation and planned to sleep in a tent. However, luckily, a large concrete house with space for four people was available. We were pleasantly surprised!

Regarding food, if you do not order in advance from the staff, you will need to go to the village to buy it yourself. You can discuss your needs with the staff, who are all friendly and helpful.

It's a pity there are no stars to be seen tonight. After dinner and some chit-chat, we'll head to bed. Tomorrow morning, we'll go check out the project's agricultural plots.

The terrain is characterized by steep mountains. Most of the land has been encroached upon for agricultural purposes, with some areas being abandoned former fields left to recover before being cleared for cultivation again. The remaining forest is limited. The "Khon Rak Ban Kerd" project has adopted the "Understanding, Reaching, and Developing" principles, as outlined by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, as a guiding principle in all stages of its work. The project emphasizes community participation and drives development efforts based on the genuine needs of the local population.

Encourage villagers to grow cash crops after rice cultivation.

The project will provide four houses. The cost of the houses is not specified by the center. We will pay an appropriate amount to be used for the renovation and maintenance of the center's houses.

The front of the house has a tea plantation.

Looking out at the open, barren space, we must all work together to maintain the health and abundance of the headwaters and forests.

To give a glimpse of the road conditions.

The scenery on the way back is particularly beautiful when the rice fields are green and lush. It's best to visit during the rice planting season.

Must stop to take a picture.

The road is clear, feel free to park safely.

Our next destination is Ban San Charoen, Doi Suan Ya Luang, Tha Wang Pha District, a village where coffee farming is the main occupation. We will return via the original route, passing through Bor Kluea and entering Pua District. However, if time permits, we recommend visiting the Phu Fa Pattana Development Project in Bor Kluea District. This project, initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, aims to improve the quality of life and well-being of people in remote areas.

We stopped by the same restaurant near the stadium for spicy papaya salad and grilled chicken as usual. Since we were quite tipsy, we craved something spicy. However, the restaurant had run out of grilled chicken, so we had to find another place. My friend suggested a restaurant in front of the hospital in Pua. We drove around until we found it. The food was delicious, and we were saved from our spicy cravings. While we were enjoying our meal, one of our friends left their camera hanging on a chair. We completely forgot about it and drove back to our house in San Jarean without thinking about the camera.

To reach Ban San Charoen village, search for "Ban San Charoen School, Tambon Pha Thong, Nan" on Google Maps. The village is approximately 50 kilometers from Pua, accessible via Route 1148 leading to Phayao. We met Khun Krit at LaPien Coffee Shop, but he was away on business in another district. He arranged for his uncle to drive us to Doi Suan Ya Luang, where we chose to camp overnight. Alternatively, you can stay at a homestay in a coffee plantation about 4 kilometers before reaching the summit of Doi Suan Ya Luang.

The majority of the residents in San Charoen village are Hmong people. Their primary occupation, accounting for 90% of the workforce, is coffee farming. According to Krich, a native of the village, the villagers have established a state-owned enterprise to process and sell coffee. In February 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited San Charoen village and received a report from Krich on the coffee cultivation process, from planting and harvesting to processing and roasting for export. Her Royal Highness listened to the villagers' concerns and provided assistance. As a result, the villagers' living standards have improved, and they have developed and processed coffee for sale to Phu Fah shops, increasing their income.

During His Majesty's visit to the people of Ban San Charoen, Tha Wang Pha District, in February 2013, according to Mr. Krit and the villagers, His Majesty was very humorous and friendly with the villagers. May His Majesty reign supreme and long live.

Upon arriving at LaPien Coffee Shop, my friend realized they had left their camera behind. Feeling helpless, we remembered the phone number of the papaya salad restaurant near the sports field. We called them and asked them to check with the papaya salad restaurant opposite the Pua Hospital about the camera. To our surprise, the camera had been kept safe for us, as they assumed we would return for it. We then contacted Mr. Krit, who was running errands outside the district and would be passing by the Pua papaya salad restaurant on his way back. We asked him to pick up the camera for us. We are incredibly grateful to everyone for their kindness and assistance. We will personally thank them when we return. The papaya salad restaurants are: P'Mon's restaurant near the sports field opposite the PTT gas station, and P'Pae's restaurant opposite the Pua Hospital. We also extend our gratitude to Mr. Krit.

Returning to LaPien Coffee Shop, the owner was absent, but we waited. Passersby inquired about information, and we provided it seamlessly. We met two siblings who were also planning to ascend the mountain. We shared a pickup truck ride, and by the time we reached the mountain, it was almost dusk. Due to the narrowness of the uphill road, cars had difficulty passing each other. We had to wait for the coffee delivery trucks to return before we could proceed. The 10-kilometer journey was lined with coffee plantations on both sides. After an hour, we reached the mountaintop, just as darkness fell. We encountered two other groups of campers and joined them. We introduced ourselves, chatted, and gathered around a bonfire for laughter and merriment. We seamlessly integrated into their circle, and a beautiful friendship blossomed. The siblings were from Nan province and had ridden motorcycles up the mountain for a leisure trip. We came from diverse backgrounds and shared life experiences, gossip, food, drinks, and photos, creating a joyous and unforgettable evening.

The sky is full of stars tonight.

The Doi Sawan Ya Luang mountain range spans two provinces: one side belongs to the province of Phayao.

Wake up early to watch the sunrise.

A slight sea of fog.

The other side of Nan province. This time I visited two provinces.

Before descending the mountain, we took a group photo with the new friends we had just met the night before. We felt a strong connection with them despite the short time we had known each other. We learned that on their way up, they had dropped their mobile phone, but a local villager had found it and kept it safe for them. They had also helped another motorcyclist who had fallen on the way up and brought them safely to the top of the mountain. We are grateful for the opportunity to have met them and hope to visit Nan again soon.

Time to go home. Let's hurry to catch the flight back. Enjoying the beautiful view. Definitely coming back for more.

On the way down, we got a good look at the coffee plantation, but we could only take a few photos because the road was so rough and it was difficult to take pictures. This gave us a sense of how narrow the road is. During the rainy season, vehicles cannot reach the top of the mountain. You would have to walk about 4 kilometers.

This trip has filled us with a sense of fulfillment. We have reached the area where the King, Queen, and Princess have addressed the problems of the Thai people living in remote areas. We have learned how hard they have worked and the sacrifices they have made to ensure that their people have a livelihood and can support themselves.

"...Today, Thailand still has abundant resources, both natural and human. We can use these resources to enhance the prosperity and stability of our country. The important thing is that we must use these resources wisely. We must not use them up wastefully or without getting value for money. Instead, we must use them carefully and thoughtfully, based on sound principles, reason, and appropriateness, with a view to the real benefits that will accrue to the country, both now and in the long term..." Royal Speech at the Royal Audience on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary Ceremony, Buddhist Era 2529, Friday, December 5, 1985

.... When you are tired or discouraged, please remember them. Let us love and unite, and help each other to make Thailand a livable country. We love the King, we love Thailand.
