BP Journey: A Trip to Hua Hin
Greetings to all our friends at 1000 Tips! This trip to Hua Hin was unplanned and unexpected, as it followed our conservation trip to Klong Klon at Reuan Rim Le Homestay. After fully recharging our batteries with relaxation, we couldn't resist the urge to dive into the ocean. So, we decided to head to Hua Hin!

When it comes to tourist destinations in Thailand, Hua Hin is one of the top places that come to mind. It is easily accessible, with convenient transportation options, a charming atmosphere, friendly locals, beautiful beaches, and a plethora of attractions. Whether you choose to travel by train, bus, or car, Hua Hin is within easy reach, making it a popular choice for a relaxing getaway.
For this trip, we traveled by van as usual. We boarded the van under the bridge that crosses into Maeklong Market, which is the same spot where we got off the van at the beginning. Vans are constantly parked at this location to pick up passengers heading to Hua Hin, Cha-am, and Pranburi.
We boarded the bus around noon and traveled directly to Hua Hin.
At approximately two o'clock in the afternoon, we arrived in Hua Hin by van. The van stopped in front of the clock tower, opposite Hua Hin Temple. The fare was 160 baht per person.
Upon exiting the vehicle, we were greeted by motorcycle taxi drivers who inquired about our destination, availability of transportation, and accommodation. We politely declined their offers, claiming to have already made arrangements (although this was not entirely true). Following this interaction, we proceeded to the Hua Hin Temple to pay respects and seek blessings from Luang Pho Nak.
Wat Hua Hin is an ancient temple that has been a landmark of Hua Hin for many years. It is also known as "Wat Ampharam".
After paying our respects to the statue of Luang Pho Nak, it was time to find accommodation. As we walked, we stumbled upon a beachfront property with stunning views for a very affordable price. This was none other than Karuna Hut.
This resort offers both fan rooms (450 baht) and air-conditioned rooms (750 baht). Guests can also choose between a beachfront room with a less clear TV and weak Wi-Fi or a non-beachfront room with a clear TV and strong Wi-Fi. Since we were on vacation, we opted for the beachfront air-conditioned room (it was very hot at the time).
After we packed our things, we went to see the place I told you about, the one with a million-dollar view for a hundred bucks.
Upon reaching the back of the accommodation, I was struck by its sheer beauty. The sight of the endless expanse of sand and sea, coupled with the vastness of the sky, created a truly breathtaking experience.
I really wanted to jump in and play right then and there. 555555
After arriving at our accommodation, we rested until around 3:00 PM. We then rented motorbikes from the accommodation for 250 baht each, which included a small amount of fuel.
After we have our trusty vehicle, it's time to explore Hua Hin. The first place we will visit is Baan Tua Yen. Why here? Because this place has both savory and sweet dishes, plus the atmosphere and decoration of the shop are super inviting to just sit and relax.
The Baan Tua Yen restaurant is conveniently located on the main road, just before Soi Hua Hin 51.
The most popular menu item here is beans, which come in a variety of sweet and savory dishes, as well as ice cream and a full range of food and beverages.
After we finished eating both savory and sweet dishes, we visited another place that we had planned to go to, which was Rajabhakti Park.
Let's go with our trusty vehicle!
The Royal Park Rajapruek is located in Nong Kae Subdistrict, about 10 kilometers from Ban Thua Yen. This historical park houses statues of seven past Thai monarchs. It was built to demonstrate loyalty and to honor and proclaim the virtues of the important monarchs of Siam. Admission is free, but visitors must dress modestly.
The seven monarchs of Siam are:
1. King Ramkhamhaeng the Great 2. King Naresuan the Great 3. King Narai the Great 4. King Taksin the Great
5. King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok (Rama I) 6. King Mongkut (Rama IV)
7. King Chulalongkorn (Rama V)
After spending a considerable amount of time at Rajabhakti Park, we decided to head to Wat Huay Mongkol. However, the weather seemed to be against us, as it looked like rain was about to fall. Additionally, the temple was quite far from our current location. Therefore, we asked a handsome soldier for recommendations on nearby places with beautiful views. He suggested visiting Wat Khao Takiab, a temple located at the southernmost tip of Hua Hin with stunning panoramic views. Without hesitation, we set off on our journey.
Khao Takiab Temple is located in the south of Hua Hin District, approximately 7 kilometers from Hua Hin town. It is a mountain that juts out into the sea and has beautiful rock formations. The height is about 272 meters. At the foot of the mountain, there is a large Buddha statue in the posture of forbidding the ocean, facing the sea, which is another symbol of Khao Takiab. On the top, there are also relics of the Lord Buddha for us to worship and pay homage. There is also a viewpoint where we can see the entire beach and the endless sea.
A large statue of the Buddha in the "Subduing the Ocean" posture faces the sea.
Around 5 pm, the heavy rain started to pour down. The people who were there said that it had just started raining that day. Or maybe it was because we were there. 55555
We were caught in the rain for about 30 minutes, then we rode our motorbikes back to our accommodation to drop off our belongings. Afterwards, we decided to take a stroll along the beach, just to enjoy some sweet moments together.
I initially planned to take a leisurely stroll, but as soon as I reached the sea, I couldn't resist jumping in.
After playing in the water, we walked along the beach, soaking wet, until the sun set. The moonlight took over, and we returned to our accommodation to shower, relax, and sleep soundly. But it wasn't over yet, haha!
After showering, we hopped on our motorbikes and headed to our next destination: Reruk Hua Hin. Located near Baan Tua Yen, where we were earlier in the morning, Reruk Hua Hin offers a delightful combination of food, drinks, and live music in a relaxed and stylish atmosphere. The venue also boasts unique Thai-inspired photo spots, making it a perfect place to capture memories.
After taking photos at Rirk Hua Hin, it was time to head to the Hua Hin Night Market.
The Huahin Night Market is a walking street for relaxation and shopping at night. Dechanuchit Road is closed to traffic, allowing for a variety of goods, including souvenirs, food, and necessities, as well as performances and other activities.
Beware of the monkeys. Do not feed them, as they will swarm you in large numbers.
The five recommended restaurants are truly worth a try. Each one offers a wide variety of dishes.
Near the bustling night market, you'll find the Chatsila Market.
Chatsila Night Market is a retro-style night market with a classic atmosphere. The highlight of the market is the row of antique white wooden houses. There are many things to buy here.
After a day of eating, walking, and sightseeing, it's time to return to our accommodation to rest and recharge for tomorrow's adventures.
5:00 AM. After a night of listening to the sound of the waves, it's time to wake up and watch the sunrise. The sun will rise behind the wooden balcony of the accommodation.
After watching the sunrise, we rode to the Chatchai Market, a famous old market in Hua Hin located on Phetkasem Road. The market's roof features seven curved sections, symbolizing its construction during the reign of King Rama VII. Today, the market is a hub for souvenirs, fresh and dried food.
After exploring the local offerings at Chatchai Market, it was time to head to our next destination: **Hua Hin Railway Station**.
The unique feature of this train station is the Phra Mongkut Klao Pavilion, a beautiful four-sided pavilion. If you don't come here, you'll miss out big time!
After taking photos of the beautiful Hua Hin Railway Station, it was time to head to our next destination: Plearnwan Hua Hin. On the way, we stopped to fill up the car with gas and then continued our journey.
Plearnwan is a retro-themed tourist attraction that recreates the atmosphere of old Thailand. It features a variety of shops selling food, souvenirs, and toys, as well as an amusement park, an open-air cinema, and a Ferris wheel. Many of the activities offered at Plearnwan are rarely seen in modern times, making it a unique and nostalgic experience. Admission to Plearnwan is free.
In the end, we decided to have lunch at Plearnwan Panich Restaurant.
After recharging our batteries, it was time to head to the next stop on our trip: Venezia Hua Hin.
Venezia Hua Hin is a project that replicates the city of Venice, Italy, in Thailand. There are many photo spots, restaurants, an amusement park, and a mini farm. There are many activities, including a 3D picture gallery, gondola rides, and much more. The price is divided into two packages: 180 baht and 380 baht. However, we did not participate in any activities because we only intended to take photos. 555555

Robinho and Jurias are also working hard.
This location also features a mini-farm with sheep, horses, and other animals. We purchased 20 baht worth of hay to feed the animals, as we did not purchase a package beforehand.
Smile!
After we took photos and had our fill of fun, we returned to our accommodation and returned the motorbike.
On the way to our accommodation, we passed a fish market and took some photos before heading back. It was a bit crowded.
There's our accommodation, and over there, my brother is horseback riding along the beach. This is one of the most famous activities on Hua Hin beach.
The water is so clear that you can see a lot of fish.
After returning the motorbike, we took another stroll along Hua Hin beach before heading back.
Finally, we retrieved our luggage from Karuna Hut and boarded a van back to Bangkok for 180 baht each.
