Due to the recent arrival of a new family member and the demands of my full-time job, which includes occasional weekend training sessions, I haven't had many opportunities to travel and photograph hotels in the past month. However, with things settling down, I decided to revisit Hua Hin and chose to stay at the Dusit Thani Hua Hin Hotel.
This morning, I departed from my home in Ang Thong province around 8:00 AM, embarking on a journey of approximately 300 kilometers.
The plan was to arrive at the hotel around noon.
The Dusit Thani Hotel is located between Cha-am and Hua Hin districts, on Phetkasem Road. It features a modern Thai design.
The main structure emphasizes European elements, while incorporating Thai details.
Upon entering the lobby, a grand chandelier hangs prominently in the center.
The left side is the registration area for check-in.
The right side is a bar for enjoying drinks.
Named Lobby Bar
Lobby seating area
This is a display of photographs of the royal family who have visited this location.
We then walked through the lobby and down the stairs to the first floor to explore the hotel.
The hotel's main Olympic-sized swimming pool is 25 meters wide and 50 meters long.
Stretching along the building.
One of the unique features that I particularly enjoyed was the infinity pool, which offered breathtaking views of the vast ocean, creating the illusion of swimming directly in the sea.
This pool has a depth ranging from a few meters to 3 meters.
Spacious, allowing for a truly enjoyable swim.
The hot tub can accommodate approximately 4-5 people and features a jacuzzi system that provides a relaxing water massage.
A poolside bar offers refreshing drinks for swimmers to enjoy after a tiring swim. This seems like a good idea.
Anyone who wants to apply for a massage can do so without violating any rules.
Adjacent to the large pool is a play area for young children, featuring two brightly colored slides that are sure to delight the little ones.
After breakfast and in the late afternoon, the pool is filled with children, possibly due to the school holidays.
A short walk further will lead you to the hotel's private beach.
Beach chairs are available for use. In the evening, when the sun sets and the wind dies down, tourists come out to play in the sea.
The little ones built sandcastles with their guardians, while the young couples strolled along the beach.
A white parasol, beach chairs, sandy ground, and azure sky—a perfect harmony, wouldn't you say?
However, during the scorching midday or early afternoon, only foreigners seem to be able to withstand the intense heat.
Another restaurant, aptly named the Beachfront Restaurant, is located right on the hotel's beachfront.
Serves seafood and barbecue for dinner
Enjoy a delightful dinner with a breathtaking ocean view. The ambiance is simply irresistible.
Let's take a look back at the beach.
Rows of coconut palms meticulously planted by the hotel.
Okay, it's time to go upstairs. Let's go see my room.
My room this time is a superior room.
Step out onto the balcony to enjoy the view of the swimming pool and the sea.
A large bed with a very soft mattress, perfect for a good night's sleep.
Seasonal fruits are prepared to welcome guests in the room.
The dressing table and desk are adjacent to the wardrobe.
The bathroom has a clear separation between the wet and dry areas.
A large mirror and bathtub, complete with a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and various other toiletries.
Adjacent to the swimming pool is the San Marco restaurant, an Italian-style restaurant.
In an open-air setting
I caught a glimpse of the pizza oven as I walked by.
As dusk approaches, let's enjoy a prolonged viewing of the twilight hours.
Next, I will take you to another dinner restaurant called The Restaurant.
This spacious hall on the first floor, located below the lobby, also serves as the breakfast room for the restaurant.
The lobby's massive chandelier is mirrored by hanging lamps.
Small, adjoining rooms with doors are private rooms. In addition to accommodating private groups, ...
In the morning, this area will be reserved for breakfast for Dusit Club benefit room guests.
Featuring a special menu of food and beverages exclusively for club members.
This evening, I have a dinner reservation at The Restaurant.
My lunch today consisted of three dishes from the Magnificent 7 food set.
The hotel's seven chefs will each prepare one dish in their signature style.
Name the menu after a song you like that is relevant to the food you are making.
Each of the 7 items will cost the same price, which is 277 baht.
Today, I opted for a New Zealand green mussel green curry, which was wrapped in paper and tied with a lemongrass stalk.
The dish offers a mild spice level suitable for Thai palates, boasting a fragrant and delicious flavor. Its official menu name is "Bohemian Rhapsody."
The name of the song by the band Queen, the owners of the famous song that we all know well, "We Are the Champions".
Two types of fish served on the same plate. One side is steamed fish with a sweet and sour flavor.
The other side is fried fish with garlic and pepper, a dish called "Different Season" or "Different Seasoning".
For dessert, we have a dish called Sweet Child o' Mine, named after the famous rock song by Guns N' Roses.
Cold crepe filled with whipped cream, coated in chocolate
Topped with rich chocolate sauce, it is delicious with strawberry ice cream.
For dinner, if you don't feel like going out to eat, I highly recommend these 7 dishes.
With its delicious taste and affordable price.
Let's move on to breakfast. My wife's salad and bread look delicious, don't they?
My chicken sausage, ham, and bacon with ketchup.
The breakfast buffet offers a diverse selection, including rice porridge with toppings, sushi, yogurt, and plain yogurt.
Self-service toppings are available, including fresh milk tofu and a variety of toppings for you to choose from.
Black coffee served to the table by the waiter.
It's also a good idea to eat it with deep-fried dough sticks and dip it in condensed milk in the morning.
The hotel's strategic location offers convenient access to numerous renowned tourist attractions.
I spent all my time in the hotel, which was my and Hu Yin's intention from the beginning.
Longing to gaze at the sea, stroll along the beach, and swim in the hotel pool. That's all I need for happiness.
The Dusit Thani Hotel is located between Cha-am and Hua Hin districts, on Phetkasem Road. It features a modern Thai design.
This property boasts a classic design and a prime beachfront location with a private beach. It also features a spacious swimming pool.
The room is beautifully designed, the bed is soft, and the service is excellent from the security guard, receptionist, and restaurant staff.
The service was satisfactory, from the housekeeper to my wife.
The hotel's age is reflected in its architecture, which may appear outdated.
However, the hotel's interior has been meticulously preserved to retain its classic European architectural style.
This, in my opinion, is the hotel's defining characteristic.
*** I covered all expenses, including travel and accommodation. The hotel provided breakfast and dinner, but there was no staging or exaggeration. Tourists who choose to eat the same way I did will receive the same experience. ***
