Lipe Island... I've been familiar with this name for a long time... I haven't been there for almost thirty years... Although it's not far from my home... I started to miss it, so I made plans with my son to go there for a trip. Because my son has never been there... Then my son arranged to book accommodation, and I went to the website to book a round-trip ferry for 900 baht per person...

Where is Koh Lipe located? Koh Lipe is located in Satun Province, La-ngu District, Pak Bara Subdistrict. To get to Koh Lipe, you need to take a boat from Pak Bara Pier. To get to Pak Bara Pier, you need to drive to Satun Province. When you reach the Chulung intersection before reaching Satun city, there will be a sign pointing to the right turn to La-ngu District. Drive along the road until you reach La-ngu, there will be a sign to Pak Bara Pier.

Before reaching Pak Bara Pier, let's stop by Pak Bara Viewpoint for some photos. It's beautiful! Once we arrive at the pier, we'll pick up our pre-booked boat tickets and use their car storage service for 100 baht per day. The parking lot has a roof to protect your car from the sun and rain, so no worries there. The pier also has food stalls where you can grab a quick and convenient breakfast. No need to worry about being hungry!

The boat I booked for 11:30 AM arrived a little early. I took a walk around the pier and took some pictures before the boat departed.

When it's time to board the boat, the staff will call you in order. However, if you want to take beautiful pictures of the scenery, please walk to the back of the boat to sit. You will also be less likely to get seasick than sitting at the front of the boat.

After sailing for about an hour, the boat was supposed to stop at Tarutao Island for a 15-minute walk. However, the park was closed during our visit, so we were unable to disembark. Next, we were scheduled to stop at Khai Island. However, the boat we were on approached the beach erratically and refused to dock. It then immediately departed. Fortunately, I was quick to capture some images from a distance while the boat was moving erratically.

When the boat arrived at the pier, I asked the boat staff why the boat did not stop for us to admire the beauty of Koh Kai. They gave vague excuses, saying that the waves were strong. But why did other boats stop? Be careful with STARJET TRAVEL company.

I have arrived at my accommodation safely. I chose to stay on the SUNRISE beach because it is quieter and I can easily wake up early to take pictures of the sunrise. Lipe Island has 3 beaches, as shown on the map.

The hotel will pick us up from the beach and take us to the resort. MALI SUNRISE BEACH RESORT has a nice atmosphere, but the owner is a foreigner and the price is a bit high.

After settling into our accommodation, we embarked on a half-day boat trip for 1200 baht to explore the stunning islands and surrounding waters. Our journey took us to Hin Ngam Island, Adang Island, and other nearby gems.

The most impressive thing about this place is the crystal-clear water and the pristine white sand beach.

To catch the breathtaking sunset, a half-day boat trip is a must. Instruct the boatman to drop you off at SUNSET BEACH.

And then set up the camera to capture the images.

Capturing the last rays of sunlight, we hired a songthaew for 50 baht each and headed to Pattaya Beach for dinner at the Walking Street. The atmosphere was lively, with many restaurants to choose from. We opted for a buffet restaurant at 450 baht per person, which offered good value for money.

Returning to the accommodation with a satisfied stomach, ready to wake up and capture the morning sunrise.

After breakfast at the hotel, we packed our belongings and returned to the boat at 11:30 am. Two days and one night were enough for a short trip to the beautiful island of Koh Lipe.
