Kanchanaburi is a province that we frequently visit, from childhood to the present. Today, we embarked on a dream trip to Kanchanaburi, which included a ride on the Death Railway, a visit to giant trees, a meal at a restaurant with dangling legs, a cafe amidst rice paddies, and stays at two distinct accommodations. While the prices and amenities varied, the views were breathtaking.

We started our journey on a Friday evening after work, taking a bus from Phetchaburi Province at 4:30 PM and arriving in Kanchanaburi around 6:30 PM. We then walked to the market near the bus station to find some delicious food, and then continued on foot to our accommodation, which was about 2 kilometers away.

As we strolled along the map, taking in the sights of the city, we couldn't help but feel a sense of tranquility. Upon arrival, we checked into NATEE The Riverfront Hotel Kanchanaburi, a riverside haven offering a relaxed ambiance, convenient amenities, and a balcony swimming pool. While a jacuzzi was available for soaking, our arrival time necessitated rest.

Good morning, on a bright day, we came down to have breakfast and then went to sit and relax, and then went to play in the water.

After checking out of the hotel, we walked to the front where there were many motorbikes available for rent at 200 baht per day. We rented motorbikes and rode about 2 kilometers to the River Kwai Bridge. Upon arrival, we purchased tickets for 12 baht to the Tham Krasae Station. The train arrives at 11:00 AM. *Make sure to get off at Tham Krasae Station 2, or you'll miss it!

While we wait, we can go shopping at the market. The train is here!

A must-visit attraction here is the Tham Krachae Cave, where you can pay respects to the Buddha.

On the return trip, the train will pick us up at 2:30 PM. We need to prepare some change because we will have to buy tickets on the train for 12 baht per person, the same as before. When we arrive back at the River Kwai Bridge, we will look for accommodation. We will choose the cheapest option with a good view. That's all we need.

We found this place through Booking.com. I must say that we were the first to book on Booking.com today. We booked a room at T&T Guesthouse for 300 baht per night. It's a raft house with a river view and a shared bathroom. However, since the guesthouse is currently under renovation, we will not be able to post any pictures. We may return to this place again once the renovation is complete.

This is the view from our room, no kidding! 300 baht split between two people is only 150 baht each.

After we finished showering and packing our things, we decided to grab some food. We hadn't eaten since noon, so we were craving shabu-shabu. We hopped on our bikes and headed straight to SHABU ZUMO. The cool evening air was perfect for a leisurely ride.

But before we knew it, there it was, viewers.

Lost and caught in a heavy downpour with thunder roaring, nothing could stop our hunger. We continued our journey.

We arrived and ate like we were soaked, haha.

We therefore ask to leave tonight with Shabu...

The next morning, with the bright weather *again! We traveled early in the morning to this place, the giant rain tree. It took us about 20 minutes to ride a motorcycle to get here. We came early in the morning so that there wouldn't be many people.

After that, we continued to Na Cafe, but oh my, there were so many people and we were so hungry, so we rode our bikes to Rak Kan Na Noodle Shop, where you can dangle your legs over the water. But to get there, Google Maps took us on a path through the rice fields, real rice fields, with muddy red earth. We had to get off and walk! Why could we see the restaurant right there, but the path to it was so far away? Oh, I forgot to mention that we didn't have any shoes today. We left them at our accommodation because they were soaked, thinking that they would be dry by the time we got back in the afternoon and we could wear them home.

After enjoying a delicious bowl of Tom Yum noodles, I feel energized and ready to explore! We arrived at 10:00 AM, and the crowd was manageable. However, be prepared for a longer wait if you arrive later. Patience is key, everyone!

We rode our bikes around the area, but didn't go up to Wat Tham Suea as it was almost time to return the bikes.

We then took a detour to another route. *Not going back the same way ><

We arrived at Minak Cafe, a popular spot that was bustling with people.

She's got a blister. It's hot and she doesn't have any shoes to wear.

And then we confessed that we borrowed *without asking* the slippers in front of the bathroom at the cafe to wear. It was hot, you know!

We'll end our trip here. We're heading home now. Where will we go next time? We won't forget the flip-flops, haha. Stay tuned and thank you. ^^
