Before I place the napkin on your lap

Let me say that

Wishing you a delightful February!

In this auspicious month of February, may love surround you and bring you understanding. May you find clarity in love and may love find clarity in you. I believe in the power of faith and sincere prayers. Among the love I wish for all, I include myself.

I love you... who are reading this sentence.

Alright,

It's time for everyone to sit down and enjoy a meal.

Let's enjoy our time together at Café Claire.

I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 a.m. with the intention of having lunch. The faint scent of lilies greeted me as I entered the lobby, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel staff at the parking lot inquired about my purpose for visiting and directed me to Cafe Claire, the restaurant I was looking for. Conveniently located on the same floor as the lobby, the restaurant was just a right turn after exiting the elevator.

Upon reaching the dining room, I was greeted by the warmth emanating from the dark-toned door frame. The interior, adorned in a classic black and white palette, exuded an air of understated elegance reminiscent of a French bistro. The meticulous arrangement of plates and cutlery on each table conveyed a sense of order and refinement.

Continuing the introduction, our throats are getting dry. Let's serve some cold water to refresh ourselves.

Black Forest

The enigmatic name of the dish, hinting at the darkness of the forest, almost caused me to skip over it. However, the word "refreshing" caught my eye, triggering my gourmand instincts and prompting me to order it.

The flavor is fragrant, with a hint of sweetness from berries, combined with a slight fizziness. In my opinion, this flavor is the one that girls love. If someone asks me what to order here, I would definitely recommend Black Forest in the beverage category. Sipping it through a straw is a pleasant experience, and the slight sourness keeps the body feeling energized without caffeine. It's also good for your health.

Exquisite Lychee

This is another drink that caught my eye with its name. I wondered if it would be a sweet, pink lychee drink. In fact, the word "perfect" in the menu title made me want to try something... perfect. In the end, I got to taste it to my heart's content. The aroma of lychee, the slight sourness of green apple, and the hint of sweetness of pineapple. I took a sip and snapped my fingers, saying "Perfect!" It was a little joke to enjoy at the dinner table.

Niçoise Salad

Every time I dine, I can't resist the Niçoise Salad, one of the restaurant's recommended dishes. The salad features lightly seared tuna loin tossed with pepper, green beans, cucumber, potatoes, tomatoes, anchovies, and quartered boiled eggs, all dressed in olive oil and Niçoise olives.

This salad is perfect for those who enjoy eating vegetables and salads. It is low in calories and can be enjoyed regularly. The ingredients are well-balanced and complement each other perfectly. I found myself enjoying it so much that I finished it quickly. That's why I say it can be enjoyed continuously.

Rib steak with Roquefort sauce

Sirloin steak, a cut from the outside of the sirloin, grilled to medium-rare and drizzled with Roquefort cheese sauce. Served with salad and potatoes, the aroma of the spices enhances the delicious flavor of the steak.

**Snow Fish Glazed with Miso, Accompanied by a White Asparagus Salad**

This dish deserves a standing ovation for its delectable snow fish, seasoned and glazed with miso sauce, accompanied by an asparagus salad. The subtle aroma of miso and the fragrant grilled fish captivated my attention from the moment it was served. The extraordinary flavors of this dish warrant a special mention. The harmonious blend of the sauce and the aromatic fish enticed me to savor it immediately.

**The "Table d'hôte"**

This is a lunch set designed by the restaurant to allow customers to enjoy French cuisine in a moderate amount. The set includes a variety of dishes, and customers can order additional dishes à la carte if they like. The portions served are larger than the à la carte options. For example, I was particularly impressed by the Soupe Bouillabaisse aux ravioli, which I will definitely order à la carte next time.

Mango prawns

Large prawns in a rich mango sauce, infused with a hint of ginger. This was one of the few times I've had the opportunity to experience both savory and sweet flavors in the same bite. The texture of the prawns and the sweetness of the mango created an unusual sensation in the first few bites, simply because I wasn't accustomed to it. However, I found myself finishing the sauce as well.

Bouillabaisse soup with ravioli

Bouillabaisse, a French fish soup, is characterized by its fragrant and rich seafood flavor. The dish originated from Marseille, where fishermen would combine unsold fish and seafood to create a simple and flavorful meal. The soup typically includes monkfish, sea bass, and other local fish, along with shellfish and vegetables. The broth is infused with saffron, fennel, and other herbs, resulting in a complex and aromatic flavor profile.

Roasted salmon with vegetables

The baked salmon is served with a side of vegetables, including peppers, onions, and asparagus. The fish itself is sweet, and when eaten with all of the accompaniments, it creates a delicious flavor that is not overly rich.

Warm chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream.

Hot fudge brownie is a brownie with a soft and rich taste served on a hot tray with vanilla ice cream. While there is a small hot chocolate pot placed next to it. Exciting! Because the restaurant gave me a little hint that this menu has a gimmick…

The dish appears simple at first glance, ready to be devoured. However, the magic begins with the pouring of hot chocolate sauce, creating a dramatic "whoosh" sound and a cloud of fragrant steam. This ritual not only enhances the visual appeal but also allows the sauce to permeate the brownie, infusing it with rich chocolatey goodness. The aroma that fills the air as the sauce cascades over the warm brownie is truly intoxicating. This "hot dessert" is a personal favorite, offering a delightful combination of textures and flavors.

I drove to "Witthayu Road" to visit the Oriental Residence Bangkok. The hotel's restaurant, Café Claire, is located on this road. This road is another one that I like. I like the greenery of the trees along the way. I like the atmosphere of peace and privacy that it offers, despite being surrounded by civilization. This area has managed to maintain a balance with the development of the city in a civilized manner... I like that.

While the price of food may not allow for frequent indulgence, it is undeniable…

However...

The price is reasonable for the quality and service provided. The open and luxurious atmosphere is easy on the eyes, and the food is delicious. The Poissons de neige dish was the highlight of the meal, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant frequently.
