Hotel Mystays boasts numerous branches throughout Japan. During a previous trip to Tokyo, I had the opportunity to stay at one of their hotels, the Hotel Mystays Asakusa.

The hotel was impressive, with all the necessary amenities, even though it was a bit of a walk and the rooms were quite old, much older than those in Shinsaibashi. However, it was clean and tidy. When I had the opportunity to visit Japan again, I still wanted to stay at a hotel in this chain, so I booked a room at the Hotel Mystays Shinsaibashi. I didn't even think twice about it, haha.

Transportation:

Walking from the train station to the hotel is possible from three different stations. We have walked from all three.

Namba is the furthest, but it's a pleasant walk. Shinsaibashi and Yotsubashi stations are similar in distance. We used these two stations equally, depending on where we were coming from and which station was closer. However, the walk from Yotsubashi station to the hotel is darker.

Room Type: Standard Double Room with Small Double Bed - Non-Smoking

The bathroom is located directly next to our bed. It is the one with the white door on the left in the picture. The bathroom is well-equipped with amenities, including toothbrushes and toothpaste. However, it is recommended to bring your own toothbrush, as the free ones provided by the hotel are not very comfortable. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner are of good quality. As someone with allergies, I always bring my own soap wherever I go.

The child is delighted to have a basin to soak their feet in.

Accommodation booking:

It is highly recommended to book your accommodation well in advance, as availability fills up quickly, especially at popular locations like Hotel Mystays Shinsaibashi. We booked our stay nearly 5 months in advance, and even then, finding affordable options closer to the travel date proved challenging. This applies to all accommodations, so be mindful of this when planning your trip. Additionally, be cautious when considering last-minute deals, as you may end up with limited and expensive accommodation options.

In addition to the comprehensive amenities offered by the accommodation, the location is also excellent. It is a short walk from the subway, and there are many ways to get there by weaving through the alleys. This allows you to explore the area as you go. We often deviate from the route suggested by Google. If we see that the alleys connect, we walk through them, sometimes getting lost, which is fun. Haha.
