Day four, leaving Ghent for a 60km ride to Bruges. However, I was lucky enough to find information about the town of Damme, which is a short detour just ten kilometers before Bruges.
This small town… has become a small village that I like very much. There is a beautiful old windmill by the canal. On both sides of the canal, there are rows of beautiful trees… There are ancient steamboats sailing to and from Bruges… The small square in the middle of the village is also very classic… It is very lucky to have a bonus from turning to visit a small village like Damme that I will never forget in my life… It seems exaggerated, but it is not exaggerated, hehe.
From Damme, I drove to Bruges, which was still not noon. The big city was bustling, so I looked down at the map and saw a port city with a strange name 30 km away. Oostende, what a strange name. Let's go check it out. It was a beautiful sight, as expected.
Next, it was time to head to Bruges, a large city thirty kilometers away. The leisurely drive took almost an hour, arriving in the late afternoon. For my accommodation in Bruges, I opted for the old town to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the classic atmosphere, which was more appealing than staying in the new part of the city.
The historic district is characterized by its old-style buildings and interconnected canals, offering boat rides for sightseeing along the waterfront.
The beauty of Bruges' canals captivated us, making us lose track of time as we strolled until dusk.
The day was filled with clear skies, and after a long walk, I ended up at the Bruges city square before heading back to my accommodation. Today was truly profitable, as I visited several cities and thoroughly explored them, capturing almost a thousand photos in a single day. Tonight, I will sleep soundly, exhausted from the extensive walking.
